The only other option is Paulino and I don't think they're considering moving him back to the pen. Hawkins has the experience as a closer. He's the clear choice if Valverde has to go on the DL.

Wow, that lead went quick. One of the few problems I have with Roy is he sometimes seems to lose focus. (Game 3 of WS anyone?) I've got no problem with the back-to-back jacks to their power guys, but to walk the number 7 guy on 5 pitches and then a waaaaaay too hittable fastball with the pitcher on deck is just bad pitching.
