Looking back to game 1 I remember Everett questioning balls & strikes with the umpire. I think my friend must have thought he was having words with the catcher. That's probably what happended IMO.

I want to say something that really bothered me. I was at the game last night and every time Kent came up to bat, I heard quite a few boo's.

Anyone that boo's Kent is a complete ****ing idiot. The guy played great when he was here and he didn't want to leave here. It was the Astro's decision that he leave, not his.

What the hell is up with all these classless fans? Those idiots should be ashamed of themselves.

    another oddity:

Jason Lane throw left handed but bats right handed.

Can't think of anyone else that does that (i think we had a pitcher that threw lefty but batted righty ...was it Hampton?)

Somebody always gets that run support consistently (last year was Wandy as well, Munro before that, Jeriome Robertson before that), and somebody always gets nothing (Pettite this year, Clemens last year, W. Miller the year before, and Redding before that.)

I wonder if there is subconcious psychological thing at work. Somewhere in the team's subconcious they feel that they don't need to get as many runs with Clemens, or Pettit, so they are a little off on those nights.

It probably isn't but I just wonder because it happens so much.

Meanwhile, Ausmus is off to a stellar start for the whole year. I am loving it. I can't wait for Morgan Ensberg to regain his early stride.

Did you see that dumb chick with her hands in the air like the astros just hit a home run. Get in the game woman. :D

Yikes. Chris Burke is showing us why Purpura says he's not a SS.

One throw, guys. One throw. With the hundreds of second chances being dealt out for Lidge around here, let's give Burke more than one throw before we declare he can't play SS at a major league level.

I'm out of market tonite, but question: how much game experience does CB have at SS, Major or Minor League(s) and/or college?

Having Corky in the 7 hole really opens up the offense. I am loving this!

I believe he made pretty regular appearances at SS in college.

He's got two hits tonight now...his bat has definitely improved over early last season. He's not going to give us Adam Everett stuff at SS...hardly anybody can. I think he can be an at least average SS though.

Agreed... plus when you factor in that the error didn't lead to any runs... and the fact that Burke's hits have directly led to two runs scored, you're still coming out ahead tonight.

Also, I'm sick of the Dodgers coming close to hitting the Astros... its obviously a game-plan for the series (pitching way inside, try to get them uncomfortable)... and its getting annoying (but that doesn't mean its bad baseball... Clemens does it all the time... I just don't want injuries).
