Lidge looks to be taking some off of his fastball, around 93. Maybe he took my advice and is going with the 2 seamer. Seems to be working as he walks the #9 hitter on 4 pitches. yep
If it wasn't mental before, it might be getting to that... I also think he needs to go back to the windup. The stretch hasn't helped his control out one bit.
Got a gift there on that close call (could have gone either way). But, it looks like they're just not going to swing at all... time to throw sliders for strikes.
This is getting rediculous ... Lidge better get his act together and fast. I'm not willing to give him much of a leash when he is walking people and throwing wild pitches. If he gets hit ... fine ... but walking people like he has been doing is unacceptable. They could score here without even getting a freakin hit.
Even if the guy scores to tie the game, it should send a message to Lidge.....his walks are absolutely killing this team. He has electric stuff, but it is between his ears that is the problem right now. DD

am i the only one intentionally walking lofton here? and trying to get the double play to end the inning, esp. since Lidge should be throwing my 2 seam fastball. And the drawn in infield works like 0% of the time. Bring in 1st and 3rd, and leave the ss and 2b at double play depth.
