With Kaepernick throwing the ball like this and the 49ers running read-option behind that sledgehammer O-line, their offense is almost unstoppable. That run by Gore was set up by fear of Kaepernick keeping the ball.

    thats your opinion

teams are finally taking these spread offense qb's from college and putting them in positions to succeed by using the offenses they ran in college. Colin Kapernick would struggle if the 49ers tried to make him another Peyton Manning

I wish VY had the same chance

Look at the rosters of the NFC all of the QBs with the exception of Matt Ryan all are mobile QB with the ability to not only stay in the pocket but to run and improvise.

I might have misrepresented my position, the Colins, and Russels are not runners (Vick, VYoung) but true all around athletes that are amazing (considering age) QBs.

Let's see if Rodgers can finally bring his team back from a deficit for the first time in his career.

When you have QB's that can play in the pocket and can outrun DB's then I don't know how you don't call that the future of the league. Who wouldn't want that? Just because Vick and RG3 haven't learned how not to take a hit doesn't mean all athletic QB's can't learn that.

After the pass from Rodgers to... whoever was tackled by Carlos Rodgers, I did a quick wiki search on the surname.

Vick is a lost cause, he just doesnt care about the game enough

RG3 is not that type of player... he will learn

RG3's rookies stats when healthy are similar to a young Rodgers not Vick

The interesting thing is to see how the league adjust to it. When the year of TEs happened teams invested in undersized lbs or oversized dbs to play safety (Seattle, SF).

How do you put a LB spy on qb who can option/ dump it off/have 4.4-4.5 speed. Might be an overreaction but it makes for exciting football.

LaMichael James might have a chance to break a big run on a read-option if they give him a chance.

Matthews bit hard on that play. He's only a pass rusher.

    WATT > Matthews

Interesting how Mr. Elite QB isn't so elite when his defense is sucking ass.

I used Vick and RG3 because they keep getting hurt. I've never seen Rodgers take hits like they do.

I dunno, maybe nickel or dime on every play depending on the sets or zone coverage underneath so those big running lanes don't open up past the line of scrimmage.

Unlike John Fox and Gary Kubiak, Harbaugh goes for the killshot (by at least trying to draw the defense offsides) and gets rewarded.
