Wholly crap. The halftime report was all about what the ravens HAVE to do to win this game. Is there any question who they are rooting for to win the game? The ravens are up by 4 and yeah they are worried about what the ravens need to do better? They are scared that the texans are taking control of this game.
If Kubiak would have taken the timeout before the punt, we would have gotten the ball back with 60-65 seconds with the ball on or around the 20. At that point, with no time outs, on the road, in the cold against a good defense... I think you still run the clock down.
Yates could have thrown 3 other INT's other than the one he did throw. I have little confidence in him leading a scoring drive with less than a minute on the clock and no timeouts.
Why do you guys care? We don't get respect and haven't all season, that's fine. From the outside looking in, with 2 rookie starters on defense and a rookie, 3rd string QB we are the underdog against anyone we play. Ask the Chiefs... It means absolutely nothing once they step on the field, that's why you love the NFL.
If you commit a turnover on your end of the field, they have an opportunity at a field goal or even a touchdown, and then get the ball back to start the half.
Believe it. Dierdorf had wood after the 1st quarter fiasco. Now his a$$ is drawing a 100-pound vacuum.
Flacco is not playing better than Yates...Give the kid a break...If we win the game, we win it with him at the QB position
Um, why must it be 80yrds and a TD drive? Why can't it be 45 yrds with over 1 minute and a FG attempt? Is there no faith in a 45 yd drive?
You sure about that? A lot of national media has already put the Patriots in the Superbowl after yesterday's game against the Broncos. If Texans win today, they will be talking about how many TD's Brady can throw, who is better opponent for the Patriots in the Superbowl, and how Coach Hoodie has reloaded their team since their last few title runs. Texans will only truly get respect if they win a Superbowl, and that too only if it is against the Giants/49ers. If they were to somehow beat the Packers, it would be all about how the Packers failed and messed up.
Why risk giving the game away on a late turnover by pressing? If we get the ball and press for 45 yards with a minute left, with a rookie QB, in a hostile environment he's already struggled in... it just doesn't make sense. If we turn the ball over, and they score the momentum swings entirely in their favor... it would have probably been a dagger. If we kick a field goal, we would still have been down by 1 going in at half.
