I am as critical of anyone about Brooks's deficiencies. Including low rebounding and league leading total fouls. But passing, handles, and rim protection was not his game from the start

He's a tiny bit more able at shot creation than he seems. Every once in a while he'll dribble in for a turnaround or midrange jumper that looks clunky, but can be bailouts from shot clock expiring. Or trying to generate offense when the team is slumping. Meaning he became better at shot selection, & picking his spots. Instead being a wannabe #2 volume option like his Memphis days

Brooks became of those "low turnovers" safe types who either gets a shot at the rim, or swings the ball to a teammate's hands. It is very simple where it doesn't seem a skill, not overdoing it with the ball. But it retains possessions. Besides the technicals and enforcer head games, I just didn't see so much of boneheaded plays that his reputation suggested.

Lou Dort is even shorter stumpier version of Brooks, and OKC just won a title with him

He does a mean streak and he will circle us on his calendar and seek to destroy us.

    Funny how life works...
1.) I I hated when we signed him!
2.) NOW.............I hate to see go!!!

I personally think he was a big part in the culture change that was sorely needed when he first arrived!

    Thank you Dillon!
Wish you well!! (not against the Rockets doe...o_O)

    Go Rockets!!!

He was amazing on and off the court. He added a lot more value then he was paid for. We will miss him greatly

He played hard and seemed like a really good teammate. He came to play every single night. I respect players like that.

He provided everything we were hoping for when we acquired him. He had a reputation for putting up bad shots in Memphis, but that wasn’t the case here in Houston. I wish him well, and I fully expect him to be his usual intimidating self when he plays us next season.
