Astros 65-41 since May 8. That's an on pace of 99 wins over 162 games. The majors will not have a 100 win team this season, as a reference point. We've only been non competitive in 6 contests over those 106 games. That's incredible. 28 of the 41 losses have been by 2 runs or fewer. So it's a what could have been stretch of games. Could just as easily have gone 72-34. Unfortunately we are snakebit in close games. That probably doesn't bode well for the playoffs.

I must say that as critical of Chas as I have been, getting sent down has motivated him. He's been very good, even since they announced he was going down and got a PH HR before leaving. THIS Chas is a big deal for this team and I hope he stays around.
