Today the Wheel of Broadcasters landed on Julia and Blum. How exciting.

Haven't checked the radio yet...it could be Dierker and Brown for all we know.

Yainer looked like he didn’t want to be bothered with it

I'm not sure he ever left.

LHP is why he's in the lineup today

He did, then ate a burger in Sugar Land, turned the car around and drove right back (because Jake went on paternity leave).

eta: I missed that they sent Salazar down, so here's the goings-on since Chas came up for Meyers:

09/06/24 Houston Astros designated LHP Parker Mushinski for assignment [to make room for Tucker on the 40-man]
09/06/24 Houston Astros activated RF Kyle Tucker from the 60-day injured list.
09/06/24 Houston Astros optioned 1B Zach Dezenzo to Sugar Land Space Cowboys.
09/05/24 Houston Astros activated CF Jake Meyers from the paternity list.
09/05/24 Houston Astros recalled RHP Nick Hernandez from Sugar Land Space Cowboys.
09/05/24 Houston Astros optioned C César Salazar to Sugar Land Space Cowboys.
09/05/24 Houston Astros optioned RHP Forrest Whitley to Sugar Land Space Cowboys.
09/02/24 Houston Astros placed CF Jake Meyers on the paternity list.
09/02/24 Houston Astros recalled RF Chas McCormick from Sugar Land Space Cowboys.

He was sent down. He went 2 for 8 and then the Astros came to their senses and brought him back.

Or maybe it was because Meyers had paternity leave.

Since then, they elected to send Dezenzo down.

Not a chance in hell they win today, so that's a great plan.

They didn't have a huge inning so if the HP umpire cleans up his strike zone, we have a fighting chance.

If this was Gung Ho, starring Michael Keaton and George Wendt, Kikuchi would be made to wear ribbons of shame after that inning.
