Shuffling around the 1-3 is largely going to end up with very similar results. Springer leading off makes sense because of his walk tool and his vastly superior ability to get on base. But at the same time, hes not the steal threat Altuve is, and unless the 7-9 guys consistently get on, his team leading HR ability could get marginalized.

It's very likely the best 1-3 in baseball. If they had a bonafied cleanup hitter, they very well could survive with literally only half a lineup.

 

Gomez is a completely different hitter when he keeps his head in.

Give Luke another 3-run save chance... he may be the best closer in baseball in 3 run lead situations.
