That's all that matters, if it takes sacrificing the season to see if Gomez can recapture some of his past glory then so be it. Count me in!
Yep. Gomez isn't even close to hitting most pitches. It's not like he's going to wake up one day and be a good hitter again. Cut his ass and move on

You are not "sacrificing the season" by giving a proven MLB hitter like Gomez time over Jake Marisnick. This worst stretch of Gomez's career is in-line with what Jake normally gives us. It's not like the Astros are exactly keeping Willie Mays on the bench right now.
