Lidge has blown 4 saves. That's less than Turnbow, Wagner, Hoffman, and pretty much any other 'star' closer.

Lidge's ERA for the month of July is now 7.36.

    Come on Munson.

Most braindead argument possible. Lidge has allowed a run in 19 of his 51 appearances. That is a bad pitcher. If he has options you send him to the minors, not that it would help but he has no business pitching in the majors right now.

He has performed well in save situations. Common sense would be to use him in save situations. He has struggled in non-save situations. Common sense would dictate to not use him in non-save situations.

I love this... not 30 minutes ago Garner was making all the right moves...but now he suck again. I dunno why Clemens came out but I'm guessing it was his decision and he was gassed. Looking back I do wish he'd stay in, but that's easy to say now. But don't throw this on Garner. The team had a 4 run lead heading into the 8th. It is the bullpen's responsibility, regardless of who's coming out of there, to protect that lead.

...well that rally personified this season...falling just short. Nothing has gone this team's way even when it appears to be.

Its just not the year... we've been spoiled by miraculous runs the last two years, but frankly, this is the most underacheiving Astros team since 2000. At least the ones in 02 and 03 (managed by 1M) could be counted on to play smart, fundamental, focused baseball.

You are in denial. Many of the saves that he has converted were a disaster as well

Atleast Milwalkee didnt blow their game. Adam Everett player great today on offense and defense. Raised his value hopefully.

    its all a tease!

we will come so close to getting tejada but no go at the last minute, then we will wait until the last week of season before getting eliminated as a tease to all of us!

    this is pathetic

should have been a series win....2-4 on the homestand doesn't cut it in a playoff race...we can't even win a freaking series all month
