Tony Gwynn once called Craig Biggio "One of the biggest hot dogs in baseball".

Actually, I like Tony Gwynn regardless. He was on the radio yesterday and he is a really good interview. He sounds like a real Texan.

Does anyone know if he is from here?

I admired Tony as a player...but the more he talked the less I liked him. He was never flashy...never a real jackass, i guess...but just so negative about everything all the time. I think he's from Calif....I know he played at San Diego State.

Yeah..the Biggio statement was a joke. There are few players with less flash than Craig Biggio. The guy won the freaking Clemente award.

Mad Max, I was talking about Wagner. And Robertson? 93,94,95? Are you crazy?! There is no way! Robertson can throw a ball that hard. If the radar gun is clocking Robertson at 93,94,95, then that is absolute proof that the thing is a few miles/per/hour fast. Im telling you man, that radar gun is at least 3 to 4 mph off. If they show a radar gun clock on the road next series, lets pay attention and compare the speeds and then we'll know for sure. ;)

If the MMPUS radar gun is 3-4 mph fast, then most, if not all, radar guns are fast. Because I have not seen any other pitchers in the league that throw 98-100 mph look much faster than Wagner. So if Wagner is actually throwing 96 mph, then most of the other hard hurlers are as well...so it hardly matters.

Wrigley had him at 100 last weekend, IIRC.

Nope. Without the UT game on either, I'm officially terribly bored.

Apparently the longest in Enron/MMP history.

Wow, Dwayne Staats doing an Astros game!!! Brings back a lot of memories.

Staats does the play by play for the Devil Rays (used to be an Astros announcer way back when)

Redding is getting rocked. I say give Saarloos another shot at starting.

Didn't hear how long, just heard them say that it was the longest, although they (Milo and Alan) both agree that Thome's and Sosa's were longer.

Is anyone else listening to the game on the radio? Alan Ashby and Lorenzo Lamas' conversation was mighty ackward.

The captain and The Renegade. I am guessing Milo is having to carry that conversation.

BTW, I still think that homer by Matt Stairs has to be the longest. Didn't Sammy hit the lights or something a few years ago?

That's Johnson? The sun was so bright on the field it looked just like Redding.

It was during the two innings that Milo doesn't call (why does he do that).

    Lousy D-Rays take the lead.
