A serious conversation on Christian Walker needs to be happening soon. This is excruciatingly painful to watch.
I’d would’ve never believed it had you told me we could do Abreu all over again with Walker but it’s happening.
There’s no conversation to be had. For one, they don’t have some huge upgrade waiting in AAA or sitting on the bench. Secondly, they’re going to give it more than a half a season before pulling the plug. Finally, remember Jose Abreu actually hit well for us in September and the playoffs - it’s not out of the realm of possibility Walker can do the same.
He got wrung up on a ball but I can’t even be mad at the ump. He’s like get this quad a **** out of here- you are sullying the game.
So- last year we were worth -14 runs at 1B and it was probably even more than that as a 1B can cover up for other ****. It’s not an accident that infield defense is so much better this year with Walker. We have nobody in AAA better than him, I promise.
i've said it before and i'll say it again. i do not like hummel out in LF. with that said, he'll make a 4 or 5 star catch today.
Why can't we try Alvarez at 1B? Got to be someone batting .250 or above that can play there....Walker is just horrible. DD
