Doesn't count as reaching base in the sense it was said

Same with reaching on an error

I feel like Jake Meyers unleashed a year and half of frustration in that homerun swing.

He seemed to really believe he was tipping his pitches but was serving up hanging meatballs that got crushed...

    Dubon:

    leads Astros in batting average
    leads Astros in hits
    leads Astros in doubles
    leads Astros in runs scored
leads Astros in wins above replacement
3rd in the entire league in defensive runs saved for a 2nd baseman

Curious to see what Diaz's thoughts were... and yes, that's part of the extra work a catcher should do to make sure he's getting the most out of the pitching staff.

The pitching staff also seemed to do ok the rest of the game... albeit nobody had a 1-2-3 inning last night.

I haven't done any research but I heard that France relues more on deception, making it hard to determine his pitches out of his hand, than actual "stuff"

This would make it even easier to hit than a pitcher with better "stuff"

I wonder how many hitters facing Bryan Abreu get exactly what they expect and still can't hit it.

That said, his pitches had plenty of the plate which is also a recipe for disaster.

Does anyone have a scouting report on France's "stuff"

    Not to a ground-out's extent

And the rules agree because it doesn't hurt BA

    He's not getting benched.

Julkes is getting benched and Meyers and McCormick will have playing time cut also.

I am expecting Dubon to start 2/3-3/4 of games all over the field.

I would also bet we see Altuve at DH and Yordan in LF much more often than expected.

watching the highlights again and man, i don't think bregman is running full effort. he might be watching out for his hammy.

he looks slower than usual bregman lol

Slow Bregman is the usual Bregman.

He made some comments years ago about retraining himself to run in a way that protected him from leg injuries. He doesn't even look like he tries to stride.

He does not even attempt to steal and only tries for doubles and triples in great need or extremely good chances for success, preferably without a play.

I'm fine with it as long as the leg injuries are behind him.

Most 3rd baseman are not fleet of foot but AB definitely runs to protect, very rigid, march like run and certainly anything but the balls of his feet which would gain the most speed but as you say I’m fine with it, stay healthy and mash.
