i think most if not all of us need to give up on Y. Diaz playing consistently. it ain't happening this year and it is what it is. if next year, however he's not playing 80-90% of the games then it's a serious problem.
Diaz games 1-10: 3 starts, 5 games = 14 PA 11-20: 3 starts 3 games = 12 PA 21-30: 3 starts 3 games = 10 PA 31-40: 4 starts 5 games = 16 PA He's starting 1/3 of the games, playing in 40% including starting 4 of the past 8 games. Maldy will need more rest as the weather warms and the innings pile up. Maldy may still start 85% of playoff games but I expect Diaz to start 40-50% of the games by July or August
