It was getting a bit GARMy in here (especially early on in this game) but I wouldn’t say it was anything close to “most”.
Right...a few posters said things like Osuna has sucked recently, but they tended to also include positives. Not a single poster was even close to calling for a new closer.
Actually one poster called to option him and declared him trash, another asked what Kimbrel was doing, so I’d say they came close to calling for a new pitcher. Now were they jk? Probably, but still GARMy and annoying
Has Julia gotten too good for the gatorade bucket? I'm old enough to remember she enjoyed those. A little disappointed.
So, you stated that MOST of the posters said he was done. You found a few examples which were tongue in cheek and you say they are annoying?
We should start Fisher, Marisnick and Straw so we can have the worlds fastest outfield. Brantley should probably be DH'ing right now with White (shudders) needed in the field.
Though ideally, we're up by so much that there's no save situation. I wanted Harris to get the 8th, and Pressly the 9th last night for this reason, to avoid the possibility of a save situation where both Pressly and Osuna are "unavailable" due to the 3-days-in-a-row rule.
I wanted Devo to start the 8th and Harris 9th, last night was 4 games in 5 days for both Pressley and Osuna. I know overall for the year they haven't been overused at all, but would have rather them sat last night unless we got in trouble. In the end we already won the series, so whatever happens with the pen tonight we can live with it
I never stated that? You must have me confused with someone else. And I can be annoyed by a tongue in cheek post if I want to be—I won’t deny someone their right to make said posts
Vegas actually has the Cubbies favored tonight. Might be the first home game of the year that we are not the faved. I still love our chances.
Can't really question the decisions during games they have leads late... as Hinch seems to follow his "availability chart" pretty closely (kudos to Hinch and the production crew for sharing it during last night's broadcast). There is actual data behind who gets used when, where, how much... and it goes far more in depth than simply number of appearances. I'd also be surprised if either Pressly or Osuna pitches tonight, but would not rule it out completely with an off day tomorrow. Devenski still hit/miss. Harris is reliable (but has always been shaky in the 9th), James likely unavailable... then after that, its a whole lot of ?'s in Valdez and Rodgers
