    I second that.

Myers has been great for us this season, battling hard and eating up innings.

Myers has been surprisingly very good for us this year. I hope they try to move him at the deadline also. He should generate some interest around the league with the way he has pitched and he is a bargain at his salary.

Meyers is arguably the best free agent signing of the Wade era. I'm not sure if he nets us much at the trade deadline. Is he more valuable as trade bait or as a potential Type A free agent?

Probably best to trade him. I don't think we will offer arbitration to him, so there won't be any type A/B compensation.

I agree, if Myers is A status then it would hurt his value if we offered arbitration thus making it likely he would just accept it. I don't see teams giving up two picks whether it's a first or second rounder for Myers. He's a 2/3 starter. I think he comes back. We do have a team option on him too.

Unless of course we get offered one or two decent prospects at the deadline.

Only off-season deal I liked. It was a huge need on this team, and a significant upgrade at a fair deal. Lindstrom so far has been a good deal, as it looks like we gave up very little for him.

I'm quite happy with my post on the Myers signing.

RocketsMania1991 was right to like Garland. He has been very good this year for $4.7 million.

"screw that *******", "wife-beater is an Astro", "should have got Garland", "we keep signing has-beens".

yeah, the usual whining was there, too. But you are correct in that I didn't remember the positive comments as much.

I wanted us to sign Ben Sheets for a little more than they eight million we are essentially paying Myers if his option isn't picked up due to the buyout. Good thing I'm not Ed Wade. Haha Myers could fall off though from being overworked even though he didn't throw very much last year.
