Phew. I'm sure they would've pulled him if that ball landed in play. They will probably do so if this hitter gets on.
Do you guys realize how much grief Ed Wade would have gotten if he had designated Paulino for assignment and he was pitching this well for someone else? Good job to Paulino for recovering.
Too bad Feliz didn't do that when the bases were loaded. Still a good chance to tack on an extra run.
Paulino is obviously in the midst of the best stretch of his career. Let's just hope that he remains this effective with his command and secondary pitches. He's gone through extended stretches where he just can't locate his pitches and his mechanics look terrible.
Lindstrom's peripherals are pretty bad but he's faced a lot of high pressure situations. His aLI is at a career high: http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/l/lindsma01-pitch.shtml#pitching_win_probability 1 down. 2 down.
It's time to trade Bourn, Lyles and future considerations for Soriano. We'll move him back to 2B and move Keppinger to SS. The playoff run starts now.
LMAO perfect.. Please start losing. don't give Drayton any ideas. Funniest line is 'Keppinger at shortstop..'
We're only a piece away from being champions. Alfonso Soriano is that missing piece, especially given his reasonable contract.
As everybody was congratulating Paulino in the locker room, he looked at them and said, "ju steel owe me, beetches."
Missed the game, but just checked the box score. Looks like Paulino pitched great and the important thing is that he gave our bullpen much needed rest. Oswalt should be able to go deep tomorrow also.
Aramis Ramirez vs. Tommy Manzella in the battle for worst everyday player in the big leagues. Manzella doesn't have enough plate appearances to qualify, but his .510 OPS at this point would be 2nd-worst to A-Ram's .485.
