Phew. I'm sure they would've pulled him if that ball landed in play.

They will probably do so if this hitter gets on.

And Paulino pwns the Cubs' 2-3-4 hitters. Beast mode.

And to think I was ready for Paulino to be out of the rotation a month ago. Is he the new Wandy?

Do you guys realize how much grief Ed Wade would have gotten if he had designated Paulino for assignment and he was pitching this well for someone else? Good job to Paulino for recovering.

Too bad Feliz didn't do that when the bases were loaded. Still a good chance to tack on an extra run.

Paulino is obviously in the midst of the best stretch of his career. Let's just hope that he remains this effective with his command and secondary pitches. He's gone through extended stretches where he just can't locate his pitches and his mechanics look terrible.

It's time to trade Bourn, Lyles and future considerations for Soriano. We'll move him back to 2B and move Keppinger to SS. The playoff run starts now.

We're only a piece away from being champions. Alfonso Soriano is that missing piece, especially given his reasonable contract. ;)

Missed the game, but just checked the box score. Looks like Paulino pitched great and the important thing is that he gave our bullpen much needed rest. Oswalt should be able to go deep tomorrow also.

Aramis Ramirez vs. Tommy Manzella in the battle for worst everyday player in the big leagues.

Manzella doesn't have enough plate appearances to qualify, but his .510 OPS at this point would be 2nd-worst to A-Ram's .485.
