What a terrible at bat by J.R. Towles. I feel more confident with Brad Ausmus at the plate..... i think

Terrible is an understatement. That may have been the worst AB by a non-pitcher this season. Towles should seriously ask to be sent down after that hideous performance.

Towles has to be the absolute worst hitter in franchise history, inclusive of all relief pitchers. What a loser. (As a baseball player only, that is)

Towles needs time in AAA to develop. Remember, he practically went from AA to the bigs last year. There is a reason guys play in AAA on their way up. If they haven't ruined Towles psychologically, then he should develop ok with some time in AAA.

I have no clue why they didn't bring up Cassell instead.

I thought they were bringing up both Hernandez and Cassell.

Who else is going either on the DL or to AAA?

They very well may be bringing both of them up. Hernandez was all I have heard, but I may have missed it. I think that Cassell is a better pitcher right now than Hernandez. He should get the starts.

Cassel gets the start after Hernandez. They haven't officially announced it because they are going to wait ‘till the night before to send down/release someone. I assume that that is when they will let us know who it will be. But when they put Oswalt on the DL, Cooper stated that the plan was that Cassel would get the start.

Well, I'll take 2 out of 3 vs the first place team.

But watching the game get completely out of hand in the 9th kills most of the momentum from the series win.

I would have even taken him grounding into a double play...

momentum is only as good as your next day's starting pitcher. this is baseball, after all.

the most classic example of this ever is the 2005 NLCS...pujols ripped our hearts out....and his next at bat back in St. Louis he nearly fell down striking out with Roy on the mound.

i'll take 2/3 from first place teams. ultimately, i don't think we're creeping back into this race, anyway.

Word on the first statement...But on the second, I have to respectfully disagree...Do I think we'll climb back in, actually yes, I do, but that's because I'm blinded by my love for the Stros'...
