If Wilson could play CF, played for a cheaper contract and was more willing to take a part-time role (all are true with Lane), he'd still be here. By the way, Wilson hit .200 with a .539 OPS in the playoffs with St. Louis. Those numbers make even Jason Lane look quality in comparison.
I know, that was my point... even with Lane's incredibly poor season thus far, his OPS still beats Wilson's playoff OPS a season ago. (Yeah, I know judging anyone by playoff performance is pointless, but someone else brought it up.)
Jason Lane should be sent down to A ball. What the hell is Garner's love affair with him? Jesus......
Carlos Zambrano tonight against Houston: 5IP, 4R, 4ER. Carlos Zambrano against Houston 2006-07(6 starts): 45.2IP, 3R, 2ER
Things are a little different when Berkman hits like he should, Oswalt throws like he should, and Lidge is dominant at the end of the bullpen. Add Lee and Pence, and that's a pretty good nucleus.
Why the heck did Garner yank The Wiz with a 4 run lead in the 6th when Oswalt has been going strong? Edit: Just noticed he was at 108 pitches, but that doesn't change my feelings on Garner.
Borkowski shouldn't still be on this the roster... might as well let Gutierez in to a low pressure situation, and let him showcase his stuff.
Astros 8.5 back with 9 games to go against the Brewers. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ip1zsUIosoA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ip1zsUIosoA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
No matter how bad this season has been. Nothing feels better than sweeping the cubs and seeing Zambrano break a bat over his knee. ROFL.
yep ... sweeping the Cubs is ALWAYS fun no matter where we are in the standings. How bout we sweep the Brewers too and make this a little interesting.
