Taveras has a 17 game hitting streak going, but I agree about Huff and Biggio.

They need Lamb out there, even if they're overloaded with lefties. Last night was a painful game to watch... seems every time I go we lose. :(

I'd like to know how good Ensberg is with a closed stance as opposed to an open one. I could have sworn that he used a close stance most of last season until toward the end when the shoulder problems occurred. Could be wrong though. But is there any good reason at all for using that stance?

the way i remember it, and i could be wrong, is that he changed it last season so he could see the ball better coming in...and he blew up as we all know...i remember the season before that he has the really closed stance with his legs wide apart...almost bagwell-ish

    someone know for sure?

Getting one back for Huff? Roger usually has much better control than that.

Not a good start by Roger. Man, the Cubbies always seem to match up so damn well against us. (even though we are winning the season series 8-5)

Why can't we find a catcher & shortstop that can hit over .250?

I mean it is a joke how pathetic Ausmus and Everett are at the plate.

Punch and Judy.....they are just TERRIBLE....

We have 6 hitters in our starting lineup......SIX....and that sucks.

The Astros can not afford to lose today or tommorrow. 6-3 homestand. The Astros really needed to go 7-2

Lets see if Luke can hit with somebody on base (as he was would have last night, had Ensberg and him been flip-flopped).

Great hit by Huff..but if he hadn't gazed at it out of the box he probably could've made it to the 3rd safely.

Not really... he probably shouldn't have been going for 3rd, but I guess he thought they were going to try to gun down Berkman at the plate (as did I).

The Cubs made a great decision to cut-off the throw (not enough teams do this), and they got Huff... good aggressive baserunning, but a better defensive play.
