someone mentioned it earlier, but if burke got on a 5th time w/o batting until extra innings, that would have to be a record, right? and that commercial with brown announcing lane hitting a 2 run homer keeps getting funnier with each lane at-bat.
If we make it all the way to Borkowski's spot (5th) he is going to have to come out in the bottom of the inning as well. This could be the do or die inning.
Does it really matter if its Lane or Wilson who strikes out four times in a game?!? I had to stop watching the game before Lidge gave up the HR.... why are Lamb and Scott out of the game? I'm sick of seeing Ensberg and Lane up there with a chance to do some damage... we all know what's going to happen!
i told you, aramis ramirez. wow, first cub in scoring position in extra innings. 9 innings to get one guy to 2nd. here's guessing they know what to do with it and get the guy home.
On a totally different note, the folks at MMP need to stop playing the "Lights Out Lidge" music and graphic when the tampon comes out to pitch. I was at Friday's game against SD and to my amazement, there goes the "Lights Out Lidge" music in the 9th. Granted he didn't blow that save. But still, it's inappropriate. Lidge isn't "Lights Out." He sucks.
uhh, that was a strike to jones. don't start squeezing us now. oh well, we're screwed. they'll probably score 3 or 4 to make it uninteresting. borkowski did what he could.
