Everett almost BLEW it there by not going to the bag and 2nd base, wtf was he thinking?

He forced Burke into an unbelivably tough throw, especially for a guy who had just come in.....man talk about stupid.

Nice play by Burke on that ground ball. I don't know if Biggio makes that play with his arm.

If we don't make the playoffs this year, you can blame that squarely on:

    1) Lidge's poor performance
    2) Garner's stubbornness in sticking with him for so long

Yes there were other problems (ie. hitting), but we knew that was a problem going into the season. Lidge's performance was the difference from last year

A win is a win...Wish Brad could have closed it, but Garner made the right move...You have to have Brad focus on getting outs in situations that he needs to...

    Go Stros!!!

At this point, the boos need to start when he comes in the game. The problem isn't the execution. When Lidge enters a game, you have to know there's a decent possibility of that happening. The problem is the man (Phil Garner) who has seen this on a consistent basis and refuses to take any action to change things. It's not all Lidge's fault. He's trying. He's just not good enough right now, and it's up to club officials to call a spade a spade, stop catering to egos and do what gives us the best opportunity to win games.

Someone needs to throw him off the railroad tracks in left field. I never want to see him pitch again.

How nice would it be for Jason Lane to step up and end this game?

I'm not talking about teaching. He's overthrowing. He's leaving pitches up in the zone. What do you do when your wicked slider isn't so wicked? Well, you *don't* rear back and try to blow away major league hitters by simply throwing harder, and you *don't* leave high strikes over the middle of the freaking plate. How many dingers before he gets that?

Crap, I talk like I know a damn thing and I don't. Just being a frustrated whiny fan tonight. At least I admit it.

Wheeler, Qualls and Nieve have all been consistently better than Lidge this season, and it's not even all that close. I applaud Garner for taking him out, but he doesn't need to do it only when Lidge faces a lefty in a tough spot. He needs to do it before even starting the inning.

Nice attitude but Lidges chances are over. When do you finally say enough is enough. I mean its like if you had a crack addict friend and you kept saying " he will eventually get off the crack," and you just keep watching your crack addict friend dwindle away... :(

or you could just bring another pitcher in that you have some confidence in ... now way does anyone on this team have confidence in Lidge especially Garner

Now is not the time to try to build confidence in Lidge

    WERD!

IF (& that's a big if) we get thorugh this inning, I predict that Lance Berkowitz ends it with a BOMB!

    lol

We haven't had a walk-off homer, like every other team has, in wayyyyyy too long.

I apologize. Lidge has driven me crazy.

Oh no, Springer Spaniel is coming in. :(
