Don't forget the MAJOR flaw with both Wade and Kubiak - complete inability to hold nonperformers accountable and pathetic motivating. Both of these guys BEG their squads to underachieve.

    FAWQ

Pretty clear - Wade Phillips would be positioned to inherit the team, barring a miraculous emergence of the team as a perennial contender. In all likelihood, we become Wall Street speculators on Black Friday jumping out windows when we realize Retread Wade is our new coach.

An owner that isn't obsessively consumed with profit margin.

If we fixed the D, I guarantee you we'd be a playoff team (given the division this year), but Kubiak's game prep/management would be under MUCH more scrutiny as the obvious weakness of this team... much like it was in 2009 when our D finished 13th overall. That was a year that I firmly believe Gary Kubiak cost us the playoffs and not our personnel.

The guaranteed salaries of Rick Smith, Gary Kubiak, Frank Bush, etc.

    The pricetag on Cowher.

The projections of revenue shortfall in a lockout-shortened season.

If we keep Gary, I hope we can get Marvin Lewis in here:

What Bob is missing out on:

    W's. W's. W's.

The adulation and adoration of the fans.

Finally giving something the fans to rally around since the birth of the team.

A winning pedigree that the franchise has never seen.

Increased ticket sales, merchandise sales, and overall brand marketing which lead to increased revenues.

    R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

    Oh. My. God.

That is EXACTLY what we need in the locker room. I wouldn't mind him as DC.

Yeah, that's a very rational opinion.

Clearly, Gary Kubiak is the only coach on the planet able to pile up yards (after inevitably falling behind early) with 3 current and 2 recent Pro-Bowlers on offense. No one besides him would be able to do anything with Pro Bowl talent at WR, FB, RB, QB, and TE...

That would make we want to play for Lewis but just not Bob's style...

    Accountability is sooooooooo overrated.

They'd certainly have won more games. But I'd argue that they'd have simply found other ways to lose games. Keep in mind that much of their best offense came when they fell behind by 20+ pts and threw out the gameplan. If they didn't fall behind, do they score as much? I'd argue that there's a decent chance the offense doesn't look nearly so good in that scenario. In that case, instead of losing 30-31, they just lose 20-21 instead.

Cool down guys. I'm betting ol' Johnny 'movie star' McClain was slapped on the PP for speaking out of turn and was told that if he wanted to keep covering the Texans, he needed to retract his statement about the Team doing housecleaning. Specualtion was already rife and all he is doing is fueling the fire.

oh.. who am i kidding.. McNair is a dumbass and we are in for a season or more of Wary

    More to the point:

23.7 ppg, slightly above average (~ 22ppg) and well under the upper tier of NE-Phi-Ind-SD (all above 27 ppg)....this despite being #5 in ypg. No one in the top 11 of ypg scores less than we do.

The well documented first quarter/first half issues.

Kubiak was gifted with a stunning out of nowhere elite RB, the first top-of-the-league runner we've ever had.. Pairing this with his elite passing attack.....we got worse??? How does that happen???? How can the passing not feed off the run game or vice versa? Why is he so determined to abandon the run whenever given the flimsiest excuse?

    Garbage.

You're right. Kubiak has shown no aptitude for playing with the lead. They probably would've found a way to f*** it up. (Being dead serious, these guys are the worst game managers I have seen in a while)

I'm glad Jason La Canfora understands. Unfortunate Bob doesnt. Seems like they got Bill Cowher knocking at their door, staring them in the face, yet their not answering or wont be answering.

Follow along if you can. :)

Can someone please tell me what we did to deserve this? At least the Oilers gave us SOME moments of joy. All the Texans have done, since their inception, is disappoint on every level. I can honestly count on one hand, over 9 years, the number of celebratory moments this team has given us. I'm loyal to a T when it comes to my sports teams, but isn't their obligation to give us SOMETHING in return for the time and money we spend?? I simply cannot understand why even the SIMPLEST of decisions become a monumental task with this team....your head coach has taken a 9-7 team poised for big things and turned it into a 5-11/6-10 pile of dogsh!t in the span of one season, and you STILL think he has something to offer?? He's given ZERO playoff appearances, and is at the helm of one of the worst stretches in franchise history, and you STILL think he has something to offer?? He has brought in one of the WORST defensive coordinators in the history of the sport, and has given his approval on personnel decisions to put together the WORST defense in history, and you STILL think he has something to offer?!?! This team has completely fallen apart, and all Gary can say is "We're still battlin....we're tryin to get better as a team....the kids are out there workin....." IT'S WEEK 17 YOU ****HEAD! The season is over!! There's no getting better now!! You blew it!!! But, never fear, because our illustrious owner STILL thinks you have something to offer.....

So if I'm following along correctly, Jason LaCanfora is FOR bringing Cowher in and cleaning house, but Steph (Texans Chick on TT.com) WANTS Kubiak to stay because of the labor disputes?? Wow....I'm a little shocked by that.
