Maybe Lance is wrong? MAYBE?? Is there any hope for that?

2010 is fighting hard to be the worst year in Houston sports history.

As an aside, they mentioned on ESPN today that all the assistants got extensions when Kubiak got his. I don't think I was aware of that before. That means if we get rid of Kubiak, not only does McNair have to pay Kubiak the remainder of his contract, but he also has to do the same for all his assistants as well. Extending the entire coaching staff might have been an even bigger blunder than extending Kubiak.

Yep, the excuse given was so "better" coaches would come in/stay knowing they had job security.

It was dumb back then and looks even more stupid now.

I'm convinced that Bob McNair was placed on this Earth as a test. It's taking everything I have right now to not drive down to his River Oaks mansion, and slap the ever-loving crap out of him. How the **** do you **** this up, you absolute moronic piece of ****??? You have an opportunity to be a GOD in this city by bringing in a proven winner. You would literally be the toast of the town, and you would DESTROY any demons that may have come your way over the past 9 years. But instead, you have decided to yet again rip out the hearts of every single decent person in this city with your conservative, low-risk, low-reward, white bread, vanilla, milque-toast attitude. **** you, Bob.

*I reserve the right to take this back, and claim emotional insanity if it indeed comes out that Bill Cowher, Jon Gruden, or anybody who has the capability of turning this sad-sack franchise around is hired.

sherman may not be a "horrible" pick but at the same time that's exactly what it would be. so sick of this franchise playing it safe time and time again. it's just a continuation of the same culture that's given us 9 years of nothing but mediocrity.

there's a golden opportunity to energize this organization from the ground up - from the players to the front office, but most importantly the FANBASE. i just don't get it.

Please refer to my previous 2 posts to learn my sentiments.

If this is true, I'm completely done. I don't think I can take this anymore. I feel like I've been punched in the stomach.

This has to be BS. nothing on ESPN.com. It was probably Clayton making up a scenario.

Where is the leadership going to come from?? Who's going to teach these buffoons how to manage a game, or the clock??? Where's the swagger, the edge, the grit going to come from?? Kubiak STILL doesn't know how to use his running back properly.....Wade Phillips' team QUIT on him for God's sake! Unless this is just a PORTION of the hire, and Cowher or somebody is going to come in to LEAD this group of jackholes, I think he has completely struck out....as expected.

Hmm, I guess (allegedly) naming your bosses the Godfather of your children is a good career move.
