Absolutely. But I'm really sick of hearing this lame "Kubiak has no killer instinct!" or "Kubiak doesn't show enough emotion!" crap. If you want to criticize, please have a point. Believe me, there are plenty of things to be critical of after yesterday's game. It's not hard to find something tangible worth discussing.
Yes, Cushing is totally rated a 99 on the emotion meter in Madden 11. He tackles people purely by yelling at them.
Kubiak showe emotion when he rammed it down the Colts throats, I don't give a damn about yelling on the sideline, its a silly criticism
I don't give two craps about Kubiak showing emotion on the sidelines.....but I DO care about whether or not he motivates the team to play at a high level each week. He was pathetic in that regard last year and it cost us a playoff berth. I remember seeing 3 posters calling 4-0 in the predictions thread...but I may have inflated that to 47 in my mind since it was so shocking to me that anyone saw them sweeping the Cushing suspension. I may also have been merging that with all the 5-1 at the bye predictions...another call I find overly optimistic.
they are not in our division or conference but how much bigger a game can you get? if you are a player on the texans, or even a fan, you want to kill the cowboys, not lay eggs.
Showing emotion and having a killer instinct are not the same ting. I couldn't care less about him showing emotion
lmfao. oh man, this is great. you and thegary need to get into an argument now about which matters more.
i think we, the fans, care a helluva lot more about the cowboy thing than the team does. demeco was talking about that in interviews last week.
dont' remember the quote exactly..but it was clear he was suggesting it was just another game on the schedule for the players, though he realized it was big for the fans. but to the players...who aren't from here...why would that be a bigger deal than the colts/titans/jags who are division opponents?
Seems like the players are acting like NFL Businessmen, instead of players apart of the Houston community. They should know how much many fans in the Houston area wanted to beat the Cowboys, no matter if it's not a division or conference game. For the standings, this loss doesn't mean much, but it would have been a pretty huge emotional win for the city and team if they would have won. They came out flat. I was disgusted in their play yesterday. The same quotes you saw the Colts players saying before Week 1 is what you saw the Texans players saying before Sunday. All of the "it's just another game" talk (to me, that smells fear). Hopefully they take out their anger on Oakland next Sunday and get ready for the return of Brian Cushing in Week 5.
Look the Texans are growing, they have some holes in the defensive secondary that need fixing and they need a little better defined offense (More running the ball and play action IMO). They are probably a playoff team, and if things break right for them, a contender. Sort of like...well...the Rockets. DD
