Nope, I've got a bad feeling about this one, too. I think it'll be really, really close, but they Texans can/will win it: 27 - 21

I really hope the Texans don't under estimate these Cowgirls. Yes they are sissies but they have more than enough weapons to get a the job done.

That being said Houston goes 3-0 / Cowgirls 0-3

    Go Texans!

I'm not concerned about the Texans taking the cowboys lightly. Even if it were the 1-15 1988 cowboys, I don't think the Texans will take them lightly. I think because they're the cowboys, the Texans will want to punish them. This is a game where record should not matter. The Texans should come out exactly like they did in the preseason game. Physically impose their will on those punks from s. oklahoma to remind them who the best team in Texas is.

Miles Austin is already on a tear, and our secondary has been getting burned. A 50+ yd TD is almost a given, and the game could hinge on whether the secondary can keep it clamped down to only a 7 pt handicap. Obviously we need to keep a safety on him high. Pollard is a hitter, not a ballhawk. Wilson is just not a good match, IMO.

Dez Bryant also can't be forgotten - he's already emerging as their second best wideout.

We've had issues with pass catching TEs (Clark), and Witten is as good as anyone in the game. Cushing would have helped a lot against him. Witten is 6-freaking-6, wide as a truck with sure hands, and is dangerous when he goes on a seam route. Pollard can lay a hit on him, but can anyone adequately cover him?

With Romo throwing 50 times each game and their rushing only netting them 70/gm, I'd be tempted to play as much nickel against them as we did against the Colts.

I'm interested to see if Ogunleye or Denney make an appearance. They'll have a full week of practice, and it'd be nice if one of them is looking good enough to rotate in.

If I were scheming for this offense, I'd lean nickel with
Quin on Austin, releasing him deep to Wilson (I'd really like to try Nolan - I have doubts about Wilson in a footrace with anyone today)
Jackson on Bryant, McCain on Williams
    Ryans releasing Witten to Pollard

I'll also say that the big thing we need is a raucous stadium. Not liking what I'm hearing about a Dallas invasion made possible by traitor season ticket holders selling because their getting good return on craig's list.

I'll be there, and hope we can squeeze a couple delay of games and miscommunications on Romo.

The biggest trump card we have is that the Cowboys would be run more effectively by an alcoholic than by Wade Phillips.

    ^^

I'd almost send them a written invitation to run the ball. Dare them to do it.

I don't think crowd noise is going to be an issue. It's going to be exceptionally loud in there. Roof should be kept closed no matter what.

I hope the Texans completely destroy the cowgirls but this looks like it going to to be a high scoring game. Either way Texans are taking it.

    cowgirls 27
    Texans 35

Dallas has done a good job holding onto the ball giving up 1 turnover so far, though it was very costly.

Despite gaining 8 yards on 2 of three punt returns, Dez Bryant's has a 62-yard TD punt-return against Da Bears.

The Boys racked up 12 penalties for 81 yards against the Skins but got focused with 2 penalties for 10 yards against Da Bears.

The team has surrendered 40 points this season, minus 7 for a bonehead play late in the 1st half against the Skins, and the defense has given up an average of 17 points per game.

So I bet you're wondering where all their success has come from with all that talent.

    Longest pass play: 30 yards.

    Longest run play: 12 yards.

2010 NFL Power Rankings: Week 3

The Top 5 of the Week 3 ladder has two new residents. One of them is a team that's never been ranked in the Top 5 before this season.

The Houston Texans enter the penthouse floors at No. 3, the franchise's peak in ESPN.com's NFL Power Rankings dating to the 2002 season. The Texans' road victory over the Washington Redskins impressed our experts, who elevated the club four spots. The Texans are hot on the heels of the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers, who hold the Nos. 1 and 2 rungs, respectively.

It makes me uncomfortable. This week of all weeks, please don't let the players read this stuff.

The practice is going to be weak-sauce compared to the texans game.

There will be plenty of opportunities to see the Rockets play.

Oops, Romo did have 2 INTs plus a Dallas fumble against Da Bears.

Dallas had 4 plays for 20 yards or more against the Skins and 4 against Da Bears.

I would expect deep passes, draws and screens from Dallas. If I were Houston I would put 7 guys in the box and force Dallas to run. Against Da Bears on third downs Dallas was 5-10 passing the ball with a 20% conversion rate. I think using a 3-4 on 3rd downs with Mario standing up will give the Cowboys headaches.

I like the way the Texans moved their defensive line before the snap against Manning and consistant control of the middle of the line against the Skins. Making Romo think he is better than he is on 3rd downs should work to our advantage.

When was the last time a team started the season by playing 3 Quarterbacks this good in a row....

    Manning/Mcnabb/Romo all in a row...a bit unreal.

If we make the playoffs we sure as hell deserved it by how rough our schedule is.

I can't see the Texans half-stepping coming in.

Texans should test that offensive line out. Pressure em...they are awful at pass protection. AWFUL.
