Maps for week 3 should be up later today -- tomorrow at the latest. http://the506.com/sports/?cat=14 You can also go to this thread to see which game you will get, subject to change: http://the506.com/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1284992989
Talk about a statement game. In one fell swoop the Texans can put away any doubt that they are for real (even though they have already convinced me) and at the same time, put the Cowboys on their last limb. Should be interesting. I have a weird feeling the cowboys will win a close one 23-30
The Texans have never been three games above .500 in their history. I'm hoping for a blowout but most likely it will be a close game. Texans 21 Cowboys 17
I'm thinking this will be a shoot-out and the issue will be in doubt until the very last second of the game. Hopefully, the Texans can get the running game going and keep the Cowgirls offense off the field. Despite all their bonehead mistakes, they can still score a lot of points in a hurry. Keep them on the sideline. I'd feel much better about this game if the Cowgirls would have won last week. Like everyone has said, they are going to be desperate for a win. Hopefully, the Texans won't spend any time this week reading about how great they are in the media. LOL, when is the last time they've had to deal with that? Never?
I'm completely terrified of this game. But I felt the exact same way before, during, and after the the last two games. We have to take care of business and not lose games to teams with inferior records. We came out flat last week at Washington, but that's one of my reasons for optimism. I think with the absolutely ear-splitting home crowd behind them, and the lessons they took from the first half last week, they'll come out ready to go and very pumped up. Point of optimism #2: Tony Romo. He's a very talented player, but I get the feeling that if we put them in a hole at all, he's going to clam up and that's going to trickle down through the entire team. I'm hoping they panic at the thought of 0-3 and we take advantage. It's the reason I'm not so concerned about our defensive backfield... that and I think they will get better every week. Point of pessimism: Our OLine vs. their pass rush. The Cowboys have not allowed a ton of points and they know how to get after the opposing QB. Jay Cutler had a good day, but they got into his kitchen pretty regularly. We have to do a better job at keeping Schaub upright. There are only so many 5 sack games his body will be able to take. Be that as it may, I think we'll be better at protection after experiencing (and studying film of) Washington's 3-4 and the line will keep Schaub much cleaner. All the above + the frenzied crowd x the current disfunction in the Cowboys organization = a Texans win. Cowboys - 24 Texans - 37
I'm against the grain, I am glad the cowbows lost. . .I want us to give the beat down to them bad and sit on their head as they attempt to get up. Make them cry...
With any luck, the Texans will humiliate the Girls, Wade Phillips will be fired, and J.J. will be so embarrassed that he buys himself another new face.
Joe Buck calling the game means i'll have my tv on mute this week. I thought that guy was going to curl up and cry Sunday when the Bears beat his Cowgirls. Cowgirls 20 Texans 31
You're down on your home town team too much. On the rushing side how much have they given up? I believe they are number 1 in rush defense. We've got a young secondary, they'll improve.
I couldn't agree more. Also don't think Arian will have the same problems keeping his feet on the cutback. Did they give an explanation for why he was slipping? Secondary will benefit playing against Romo, who's been missing open receivers far too often ever since the preseason. IMO, that reflects the amount of golf he plays in the off-season. Texans move to 3-0 and 7 wins in a row dating to last year. Texans 38 Cowboys 27
