Smith will have 4 years and some $20 million left after this season. Culley will have 2 years and $10 million or so left.
NFL turnarounds are faster than baseball. The rebuild didn't start until Watson was traded. Texans will be fine.
While I do agree that ownership doesn’t care. They will soon if that attendance starts to look like it did this afternoon.
The Texans are the only team in the city I don't follow how long has attendance been this bad? And if it stays this bad do you think the McNairs will sell?
LOL. Owners don't sell teams very often. Official Attendance is 65,865 of of 71,995. Doesn't matter if people actually come, that money is already made. It is not hurting the McNairs at all. People keep their PSL/Season Tickets for when the team is good again. Also, TV money. So many people are short-sighted. Caserio understands what is going on with the team. He will have cap space and more draft picks next year. When the team turns, people will be back in the seats.
Who is hiring the coaching staffs? If Caserio can't conduct an actual legit head coaching search, and the staff he hires can't develop his draft picks, doesn't he take the blame for that, in some way?
seems like y'all have lost that Lovie feeling. seems like the DC team took a Commandering lead and never really relented.
Revenue has to be at an all time low. There is no more novelty with this team. In what was thought to be a rabid football market, the number of no-shows will continue to worsen week-by-week and year-by-year. Houston remains a front-running town regardless of sport. The worst thing Houston (or any city) can be regarding a team is apathetic. Houston is very much apathetic towards the Texans right now.
What does Caserio understand again? He deserves scrutiny, too. His two first round draft picks? Underwhelming. His coaching hires? Uniformly lousy. His roster building and cap management? Not great, either. They have over $70 million in dead cap money and Caserio contributed his fair share to that. There is no team in the NFL with less building blocks than the Texans right now.
Ignore scarface telling u this team will b fine. Man likes to paint positive colors over dog sht for years. This team is the new browns/lions.
Him sticking up for BoB made for some good times. Even more on topic, I just watched the Texans "highlights" and laughed out loud several times. Jeebus H. Hahaha.
Raiders beat the Broncos in OT. We now have a little more room for error should we accidentally win one of these remaining games.
