Bandwagon fans-Last .. Who the hell wants to bandwagon here? Player bashing- Top 5 .. Its easy when you ain't never heard of most of them before the season.. Fans wanting to tank - 1st ... I'm with you on that one, no need to tank
I don't follow the Texans that closely but I said to myself when I read this "I bet he's a born again christian as well as a former patriot" - AND OF COURSE HE IS lol.
We were mentally prepared for the loss when the Colts lined up for the missed field goal. Smith should have went for it on 4th down instead of a tie in a game that we blew a big lead in. If you F up, you might as well go all the way. It isn't like we aren't used to it.
If you're in a deep playoff race and every game matters and its near the end of the season, I can see why you may play for a tie. But the first game of the season against a division rival in a year you're expected to be crappy? WTF
You also invested heavily in the OL and Secondary in the draft, have a young and potentially promising QB/RB duo as well. But when the game is in on the line and called a timeout to think things over, you call Burkhead’s number.
Mills had zero pressure last year. There were no expectations and he played free and easy. We saw on Sunday that when it was winning time and suddenly there was pressure in game 1, he did not respond well. He looked shook. Maybe he will use this as a learning moment. I hope he plays all 17 games and they know what they have. If he doesn't have a Super Bowl ceiling, I don't want them to stop until they find that. We had Matt Schaub already.
Mills did not look shook at all he went toe to toe with Matt Ryan. Look at Mills stats compared to his draft mates last year in week 1 Did Mac Jones look shook? Or how about Lawrence? Pep kind of let the play calling get away from him a little bit. And the colts D-line are as good as it gets as a group. And our o-line struggled at the end.
Who knows, the AFC South is very weak. I can see the winner having a 10-7 record. A tie could theoretically be good for the Texans. Also, remember that Lovie Smith's goal is to get the team into the Playoffs, and it's the same mentality for the entire roster. You might think that this season is expected to be bad, but that's not what everyone in the locker room thinks. Knowing that, going for the tie was rational.
Lance was absolute GARBAGE. Fields was meh as was Lawrence. Jones was hurt so incomplete grade. Mills was up and down
