fitzpatrick lost a fumble on the game winning drive... not sure how that's
    not a "significant problem".

Oh I pointed it out as a "significant problem", when your alleged franchise LT just stops blocking and allows a free shot at the QB in crunch time, you have a serious problem. The guy who is supposed to be the best O lineman on the team so far has been one of the worst. Blaming Fitz for that fumble is asinine at best, the DE got a free shot at the ball because the LT didn't do his job. Now you can argue that he should have thrown the ball away, but I've seen this movie, had he thrown the ball away he'd have been bashed for not trying to make something happen.

Some people just like whining about QB play so they whine no matter what. Fitz had a better QB rating than Luck in this game FFS. When Fitz plays poorly, feel free to whine about it, but those who whine about it when he performs well come off as unintelligent fans.

I still can't believe the game Watt had. Unreal.

I just can't believe it was all for naught.

So many small things could have helped this team win this game. It was the best three quarters I think we've had aside from those two fumbles.

Just gotta come out swinging in Pittsburgh, and hope Clowney is back.

bottomline is when fitzpatrick's 1st read isn't open, it does not end well.

im quite sure you defended schaub to the end. same old arguments. pocket awareness is a gift, you either got it or ya dont. fitzpatrick and schaub rate as two of the worst in that regard.

Fitzpatrick makes people nostalgic for Schaub.

    Nostalgic.

    For Schaub.

One think I've noticed is that, aside from the Oakland game, we DO NOT score in the first quarter. We haven't scored in the first quarter in any other game.

    Point totals by quarter.
    1Q: 14
    2Q: 38
    3Q: 44
    4Q: 36

It seems to me like out "game plan offense", doesn't really game plan all that well, at least for the start of the game. We can make adjustments and get back/keep up in the game, but we're not really ready for the other team at the very start of the game.

As a result, we've had to play from behind in most of our games. Simply starting better would solve a lot of problems and probably get us a few extra wins.

It's like the exact opposite of Kubiak, who could script a great couple of drives, but couldn't make adjustments after that.

For the old Schaub maybe. That Schaub was pretty damned good. Better than a lot of people seem to give him credit for after his downfall. The Schaub of last year and the one who can't even beat out Matt McGloin for the back up job in Oakland? Ummmm, no.

But we knew Fitz wasn't going to be as good as "Good Schaub". If you didn't, then you had unrealistic expectations.

I agree on what Nick Wright alluded to on Fox 26. This season may be more special for Watt than he DPOY season and one of the most dominating by a defensive player but its being wasted by sorry QB play and bad coaching. I know the o-line has been pretty bad and the defense other than JJ Watt has not held up their end of the bargain, but Fitz being Fitz and O'brien's bad coaching, play calling, etc. have been MAJOR now in all three of the Texans losses. If not for JJ Watt being arguably the best freakin player on the planet this team could easily be 1-5. Watt is the best defensive player I have ever seen. I hate seeing greatness wasted. Andre Johnson, another potential first ballet HOF has been wasted by this organization too. Sad...

Yup... And he had plenty of time to get rid of the ball on that last play.

This loss wouldn't burn so much if one of Watt's all time greatest performances wasn't wasted on it. Him and Foster brought us back. Everybody else either flat out sucked or was off/on all game. And also, Sula Filo? Needs a TON more time on the practice field. Didn't think we'd miss Brandon Brooks that much...

Really the entire defense except for Watt has left a lot to be desired over the last 2 games.

We rarely get pressure and often get run on, 912 yards allowed and 51 first downs over the last 2 games. We have greatly benefitted from TO's, which are a notoriously unreliable way to consistently win.

Fitzpatrick takes a lot of heat, most of it deserved, but this team does have other problems. It's a work in progress, but all said we could still very easily be 5-1 right now.

What the hell happened to KJ and JJ? My god they were terrible. T.Y was completely lighting them up and he wasn't doing anything special. Swearinger was trash. The whole secondary overall was just awful. Bouye didn't look too bad though.

Now nothing that Watt does surprises me...he is going to keep playing at an elite level every day. And will keep having all-time great performances when our team needs it...its about the rest of the team following his lead!

Then he needs to sit through the injury, because he's been terrible.
