Maybe so but how can you expect a QB to ever get into a rhythm when you sit on him for most of the game ?
The amount of plays he made is not even close to the plays he missed, he was able to push the blocker back but never able to break inside on him. Mercilus needs to learn a couple of go to moves to get by blocks, there is no doubt in my mind that clowney makes most of those plays that mercilus had a chance at.
Honestly, I'm proud of how this team responded after falling behind 24. Of course falling behind 24 in the first quarter is unacceptable and another story all together, but the team showed a lot of guts the rest of the game. 1st Quarter out of the way, Fitz played a pretty good game. He recovered well after such a horrible start. He holds on to the ball way too long on plays but he made some impressive and ballsy throws tonight. Both his and AJ''s fumbles were disheartening but not at all surprising (Typical Texans way of building hope only to have it squashed away). Foster had himself a game. He is close to his 2011 self and is making a point to being in the conversation of being the best running back in the game again. Watt. I think that's all that needs to be said about him. Really, just an unbelievable player. 2 sacks, 3 pass defended, and a fumble recovery for a TD. He is making a case for DPotY and MVP. I don't know what to say about out secondary. Giving up that many yards to TY Hilton and mostly in the 1st Quarter is bad. Really bad. This could have been an ugly game, but we fought back. But, I get there are no moral victories in sports and this is going to hurt for awhile, especially with that Cowgirl loss.
Hello Clowney. Onside kick was unacceptable like the rest of the first quarter. 6-4 gets you 9. Won't be good enough to get into the playoffs.
Agreed on foster, i think the extra days off will really be good for him. The defense should benefit alot as well, those guys are all banged up so with the addition of clowney and the extended break i think we should be able to beat pittsburgh.
9 makes you borderline 2nd wild card, 9 is pretty easy, that 10th is a bit tricker though. You have 4 wins against the Titans and Jags that should be fairly easy, 2 more coming against the Browns and Steelers that should be pretty easy. After that you need 1 more between Philly, Indy, Baltimore and Cincinnati Of those 4 I think Philly is a winnable game, and Baltimore could be a winnable game, the final 2 are rough unless AJ Green's injury is more serious than we all think it is.
Man, some of you are delusional. Fitz was largely at fault on the last play, but he's one of the few players that actually showed up tonight. He had a good game for sure.
After 12 seasons of horrible QB's is it too much to ask the franchise to focus on this somewhat important position? I'm just sayin... Can any of the Texans apologists here ask why this franchise doesn't focus on finding a franchise QB????????
