Andre had bad series, Fitzpatrick made a Fitzpatrick type play at the end and coach Bob got out coached big time. Bob has been disappointing.
There's tons of blame to go around in this game, but Fitz doesn't deserve any of it really. When the O line plays that poorly and the QB throws 0 picks and has over 100 QB rating, it's not on him. The defense was awful and they put us in too big of a hole to dig out of. If we want to scapegoat anyone we can go with Andre Johnson, anyone in the secondary, anyone on the line, or even Fat Aggie or Nuk Hopkins.
Joseph just doesn't have it any more. Can't blame him for that. He's playing to the best of his ability. Swearinger whiffing on tackles is another story. I'm not sure he's on the team next year.
Let us also not forget Fat Randy yakking on a relatively easy FG. Had he made that one, we would have only needed a 3 to take the lead at the end, which is a VASTLY different scenario as opposed to needing to get a TD. And also, Swearinger... JHFK are there any COACHES on this staff??? ANYONE who will get in that kid's face and chew him a new one? I swear to God the next time I see some ball-carrier just run right by that guy while he just swipes at the ball, I am going to lose my mind.
It's unbelievable how many people are giving Fitzpatrick a pass for all his failures. It's always the o line, receivers, defenses fault, everyone except for fitz. Yet matt schaub would get blamed (not his last season) for every loss even if he had a good game.
That or first round picks being injured. Missing half the season. I really hope he's ready to go after this long break. God, I long for another player capable of pressuring the QB along side of Watt.

Any love for Mercilius? He had a really good game. Watt put on Hall of Fame performance in prime time. The Texans fought back and were poised to make the winning drive TWICE. They just Fitzlled.
The only good thing about having Ryan Fitzpatrick on your team is watching him try to shove that al qaeda beard into his chin strap.
I think he got outplayed on a couple of catches and that Luck put the ball in a place where he couldnt' get it. I thought swearinger played worse than joseph.
At least Houston Texans head coaches are consistent.

O'Brien: "It wasn't good football... What exactly did Luck do to bail his O-line out? He had plenty of protection. All he ever did was move into the pocket. He never had to scramble or evade multiple pass rushers. I agree that we need a better QB, but better O-line play is needed more, in my opinion.
