This is only the second time Nantz/Simms has called a Texans game at home. The only other time was the '09 season opener when we got blown out by the Jets. Andre Johnson needs 19 receiving yards to reach 13,000 for his career. Excellent chance it'll happen Thursday night. Reggie Wayne will most likely pass 14,000 receiving yards Thursday. Two milestones for the former Hurricanes and future Hall of Famers. Point Spread: Houston +3 O/U: 47 Referee: Ron Torbert Uniform: Blue Jersey / White Pants Win Probability Graph (will be live during game) Spoiler <iframe width="500" height="450" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" src="http://live.advancedfootballanalytics.com/featureGraph.php?team=HST" name="game" ></iframe> Weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with only a slight chance of rain. Temps at kickoff will be near 80. Maybe there's a chance the roof will be open. Go Texans!
No chance it will be open. McNair released a letter for people to take a half day(Obviously joking, but this game means something to him). He knows that with the roof closed, the noise will be that much better. I have a prediction for tomorrow night. It will be so loud that Andrew Luck's head explodes.
Remember that Sunday nighter a couple years ago against the Packers? With the roof closed, the noise was supposed to be that much better, too. How'd that work out for the Texans? Cris Collinsworth made a point that the Texans should have opened the roof because it was muggy that day. I agreed with him since the Packers would not have liked the high humidity. It's supposed to be pretty humid tomorrow night, so I say open the roof and let's see those Colts sweat.
hmmmm, didn't think about that. We will see. Luck did grow up in Texas. Want to make him feel at home?
The home team advantage on Thursday is real and the Colts' injury report should be concerning for those betting on them. With a patchwork O line and some of their defense banged up the Texans have a chance if they can put Luck on his back early and often.
yea, but it opened at 2.5 & 85% of the action is on Indy. the line usually spikes more than a half point after that kind of disparity. i think the wiseguys are on Houston.
That's true, the more interesting fact is that the line hasn't really moved despite all the action being on Indy. With that high a percentage of the action on one side, usually the line goes up unless Vegas wants people betting on that side.
it's a damn shame we don't have clowney for this one because the colts OL is a freaking joke. i'm sorry, but indy's GM should be ashamed of himself for the garbage he's surrounded Luck with.
many factors... Home field on a short week, colts are very beat up, indy turns the ball over a lot and houston creates a lot of turnovers, foster's success against indy, hell even fitzpatrick's success against indy.... Of course the wise guys know things that we don't. They're sitting back and waiting for Joe Public to hammer Indy, but LV isn't budging. you'll see the line move when the wise guys place their bets tomorrow, and i predict it will go down.
