NFL Sunday Ticket has gotten to be a REAL expensive proposition, I think it is up to $400 dollars but it's pretty awesome. Normally, links are posted in the game thread before and during the game but they go up and down throughout. A friend told me that he will find a link REALLY early on Sunday and accept the invite which will take him into a private website (Kind of shady but effective). Since it is password protected the NFL can't break the link and thus should allow you to view the game. I've never tried it but he says it's golden so I will give it a shot this weekend and see if it works.
- that gets us all excited by making big plays between the 20's, then does nothing but kick FG's once inside the red-zone. - that plays great but ends up making 1 stupid mistake that costs us the game. - that celebrates breaking up a pass while Peyton Manning quick-snaps us for a 30-yard gain. - that plays for the tie while down 3 with 2 minutes left in the game.
...whose fans have to resort to "Well, if <insert QB or skillpositionname here> didn't miss 6 games, we'd probably be in the playoffs!" at the end of another 8-8 season. ...who points to three or four "almost-wins", lost on botched field goals or bad play calls, in order to feel better about where they are as a mediocre franchise. <br /> <br />
I wasn't trying to be funny I was really just asking a question. There was no need to bring my lions into this but since you did now I can't wait for Peyton to make the Texans D his b****es like he always does.
Alright, I see now and of course I agree. I don't think they are essentially the same thing. Yes they have the same gameplan because they have the same coaches, the personel is different. Colts have some injuries on their Oline. Texans have a new RB which could be a HUGE difference. Also players get worse/better from year to year. Addai may regress completely and become a non-factor. Maybe Quinn improves so much he makes a difference, maybe Okoye improves this year? That's what is great about the NFL, one year you could be a championship level team and the next you could be the bottom of the division. Same can be said for the Colts they are not invisible to this, Football is such a team game that if you take out one crucial cog in the machine the whole thing can collapse. If Saturday is not healthy, that could be the cog that dethrones the Colts. Of course same can be said for any team if they lose a key player.
I have Directv and the NFL package is called the NFL Sunday Ticket. It's about $319.95 unlike last year, HD Games are now included (they were extra last year). They also have the Sunday Ticket-To-Go for smartphones, iPad or computers. I'm in Dallas and we rarely get Texans' games unless the Cowboys aren't playing at the same time (like Sunday) and sometimes not even then.
A couple tidbits from today's practice via Nick Scurfield: Kubiak said Antoine Caldwell will start at RG. Brisiel will also play the position on a rotational basis. Owen Daniels will play 20-25 snaps in the game. Maybe more if his knee feels good. Derrick Ward could see some limited action on Sunday. Xavier Adibi will start at SAM.
I hope you're not paying $319 for Sunday Ticket. You can get a discount by calling DirecTV. The normal discount is $10 off for 12 months. Just call and ask them if they can do anything to help with the high cost of Sunday Ticket. Their first offer will usually be half of the normal discount. Politely decline it and ask for something better or say that a neighbor got $10 off for 12 months and you were wondering if you could get that too.
Is there a version of Sunday Ticket just for your computer or smart phone that is cheaper? I don't have direct tv (just basic cable through comcast) and I'm not really interested in the TV version, I really just want it on my computer or even my phone, so I can go skiing on Sundays and still watch the game.
I guess this means they are comfortable with their tackles who are both coming off injuries keeping healthy.
I bought my brother a slingbox who lives in Houston. He just put it on one of his extra boxes. I have been watching Texans for the past couple years over it. It paid for itself after the first season. I have comcast too and don't think you can get the NFL package unless it's on satellite.
McClain_on_NFL Texans backup quarterback Dan Orlovsky has redone his contract, taking a paycut from $2.25 million to $850,000 McClain_on_NFL Orlovsky can make up his paycut. He gets $25,000 for every game he's No. 2. He makes $100,000 for every game he starts -- a max of 10 games McClain_on_NFL Texans have reached an injury settlement with kicker Kris Brown
wtf? what is to stop the texans from just arbitrarily putting him at #3 on the depth chart and then using him as a #2? and lol @ the paycut, that has to hurt.
"Sunday Ticket-To-Go for smartphones, iPad or computers" Anyone know how this works? I have comcast as well and the Texans games are NEVER on. Normally www.atdhe.net works but it goes in and out.
Teams generally only use two QB's on gameday, then are allowed a third "emergency QB" that doesn't count against the 45 that can suit up. That is pretty surprising. I guess they threatened to cut him if he didn't take the cut, and I'm sure Dan obliged based on his performance. He can only make up 400k if he's the #2 all season.
Sunday Ticket is only available for DirecTV customers. You can't get the mobile version of it unless you subscribe to the tv package. Most sports bars have NFL Sunday Ticket so you shouldn't have that much trouble finding a place to watch the game. If you have a Hooter's or Buffalo Wild Wings near you they all have it.
the other key thing is, its not like the early years where the texans just have gotten manhandled.. its a play here or there .. if sage holds on to the ball, if duante doesnt celebrate after making the hard hit, and get caught off position when manning does a quick snap etc... so yah while majority of the team is the same for both teams.... the fact that they are not exactly the same and the fact that another year on veterans and one more year of exp for rookies.. all these factors I think make the question, "When was the last time texans beat the colts" irrelevant for sundays game.
