As soon as T-Slack said "fantasy league" you should recognize his ulterior motive. I don't believe anyone can honestly miss halfback passes in crucial situations. BTW, off topic, but how the hell do you ask Mike Vick to run off left guard on 4th and 1 to end the game?? Anyone OC with half a brain knows you have to roll Vick out then to stretcb the defense. No one on the field can stay with Vick in space...especially when he only needed one yard...OC's can truly win or lose a game.
I hate the Cowboys but they are talented. They had 6 pro bowlers last year. Jenkins, who should have made the Pro-Bowl last year, and Newman are both really good corners, Ware is one of the best defensive players in the league, Ratliff is a stud, and Spencer is a rising star. I would definately not say their running backs are average at best...Felix Jones and Barber alone are definately above average. We all know what Austin did last year, Williams has shown flashes of why he was drafted in the 1st round, and Dez Bryant is their 3rd receiver which is pretty scary.
You should have no worries. The running game was carrying us, so why not continue with it? I highly doubt our passing game goes down the drain. We will pass less, but only because of our running game.
Our passing will be fine. We still have Andre, Schaub, Jacoby, Walter, and Daniels. The run game was awesome today, there was no reason to go away from it.
But it doesn't benefit his fantasy team if the Texans stay committed to the run. Clearly we need a new OC or his fantasy team is not going to make the playoffs. I mean I feel where he is coming from, I have Rackers on my team and I would like for them to settle for more FGs.
Roy Williams sucks. There running backs are certainly not above average. Do you really think Felix or Barber are top 15 backs? Those guys are considered talented because of the hype their team gets. I said they had a good group of linebackers. But their secondary is horribly overrated. Dez Bryant is a rookie, we have no idea how good he is yet.
Repped. And people wonder why Houstonians are labeled as fair weathered fans. We're more concerned about fantasy numbers than beating our longtime nemesis. I wonder if these same fans wanted Dream to miss his game winning tip in against Orlando so that Ho Grant could get another rebound. Or maybe that he wouldnt have blocked Starks' 3, since 3 pointers can score big points in some fantasy leagues. I prefer loving and living the real world, wherein we just planted our collective boots in some Indianapolis Asses. I don't care that Mario could've been credited with 2 full sacks, instead of 2 half sacks (totalling one sack). I care that he had Peyton shaking like a craps game in that collapsing pocket. I don't care if Schaub never approaches 4800 yards passing again. I just wanna see him with some Superbowl jewelry and, if I'm lucky, be able to say to Titans fans that I kicked their asses on the way to the big dance, where I can punch Jerry Jones in his Skeletor face after stomping a mutthole in his team by the largest margin in Superbowl history.
This is coming from a person who owns Andre Johnson in three leagues- 34 points and over 200 yards rushing speak for themselves. If they play like this regularly they are a Super Bowl team. Screw your fantasy team.
They did pretty good running the ball last year for being average at best. 7th in the league in total rushing yards and rushing yards per game, despite being 17th in attempts. And I dont know if you can say the 16th running back would be the mark for average just because its half the number of teams, as most teams use a 2 back system so in reality there is well more than 32 running backs that are playing regularly, but yea I would put Barber in the top 18 and Felix Jones not too far behind him
Thats not really a good argument, because as I said before the league has largely gone away from the single back workhorse unless you have an elite guy on your team. Just look at the Panthers, Deangelo Williams and Johnathon Stewart split the carries pretty close to even, does that make them not so good that its just not one of them carrying the ball everytime?
They are above average platoon backs with a flawed line, overrated QB, overrated DBs (Newman is no longer above average) and horrible coach. And I love love LOVE watching them flailing and flop and underdeliver.
Dont we all! I went on an emotional rollercoaster in the last 25 seconds of tonights game...upset they let Romo escape, then even more upset they got a touchdown and started celebrating, then started laughing out loud at the flag and how Collingsworth, Dungy, Al Michaels, and basically everyone else that worked for NBC openly berated Alex Barron for just being so awful
