The Colts OL is seriously banged up. C Jeff Saturday (knee) practiced Monday. There has been no decision on whether he will play at Houston on Sunday "I'll tell you this, he has a real good shot at it. Let's put it that way," said coach Jim Caldwell. OT Charlie Johnson (foot) did not take part in Monday's workout. He hopes to be able to suit up against the Texans but the Colts are taking a wait-and-see approach. "He has a shot [of playing]," Caldwell said. OT/OG Tony Ugoh (toe) did not practice Monday. Ugoh was hurt in the Colts' next-to-last preseason game at Green Bay. He saw work at guard early in training camp but was moved back outside to tackle when Charlie Johnson was hurt. "There is a possibility with him as well, but we'll know a little later on in the week," the Colts coach said. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/ind/report Got to keep Peyton off the field, run the ball effectively and send a lot of heat at him. Damn I want to see Barwin and Pollard just level Manning a few times.
As much as I want to see Pollard, Demeco, and Mario just tee off on Manning due to a banged up Colts line, I say bring it on. I hope they are all healthy. Every last one of them. I don't want there to be any excuses or doubt if/when the Texans win.
I hope Foster tears them up. We need a big game out of our secondary. Make some plays on the ball. I have faith the line will bring the heat.
the current houston texans team is 0-0 against the current colts team ... last time i checked you dont get extra points against a team if you beat them in the previous years so i fail to see why that matters for this season..
Peyton don't want no part in Super Mario thats all I know. Once he sees that 6'7 295 lbs. of pure Man-Beast in his peripheral, he's gonna wish he hadn't come to work that day. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/B8ptzy11RZs?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/B8ptzy11RZs?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Faulty logic, just because they haven't done it doesn't mean they CAN'T do it. That's silly. There is a reason why we don't just claim the Saints as Superbowl champions you know. Last time I checked the Colts haven't beat this CURRENT Texan team either.
that was my point exactly... the guy i was replying to was trying to make big deal oout of the fact that we have a bad record against the colts, which I think is irrelevant for the upcoming season
I would not call it irrelevant. These are essentially the same 2 teams that played last season. I guarantee the Texans are watching film on what they did to lose the games last season, because in all likelyhood, both teams are gonna stick to similar game plans.
One of my favorite shows on NFL Network is AFC Playbook where three analysts (usually some combination of Sterling Sharpe, Joe Theisman, Solomon Wilcots, Mike Lombardi, Brian Baldigner, and Brian Billick) analyze the match-ups between two teams by going through their strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies and how they will either trouble the opponent or how the opponent will capitalize on those weaknesses/matchups. This week, they preview the Colts-Texans game and two of the three go with the Texans to pull off the Week 1 shocker. Colts at Texans Sharpe: Texans Theismann: Texans Billick: Colts Show airs on Saturday at 5pm Central.
It's time for the first installment of "Texans, don't be THAT team....." Texans, don't be THAT team : - that comes out flat and uninspired in the first game of the season. - that looks like they spent an entire off-season lollygagging, and come out completely unprepared for the Colts - that plays up and down within games....and more importantly, within the season. - that shoots themselves in the foot. Force the OTHER team to beat you. - everybody has high hopes for, but goes down in a fiery blaze of shame. And most importantly, BE that team that plays hard, fast, and within themselves. This team has the talent to be special....now they just have to execute. Feel free to add any more points to "Texans, don't be THAT team...."
Sorry for the double post, but are you SERIOUSLY a Lions fan talking noise about the Texans??? I mean, the sheer absurdity of that is enough to trigger a chain reaction of suckitude so large that it will be the end of the world as we know it. I think this moment right here is what the Mayans have been predicting all along. El Italico is the reason for the doom of humanity....who woulda thunk it??
Does anyone know anything about an NFL version of NBA league pass? I can always find decent free links for Rockets games during the season, but have a pretty tough time finding places to watch the texans games. I really want to watch the game this week and it won't be airing on TV here since the Broncos are playing at the same time.
