Next week will be a good test of how very real the O-line run blocking and Arian Foster's emergence has been. They are bigger than the Colts and Haynesworth is a load. If Foster can still tack up a 100 yard game and the team can be efficient on the ground next week, I'll start getting REALLY excited about this season's prospects. It was kind of strange about the Colts game plan. It is almost as if they game planned for the play action stuff and never deviated from that. The last play action I remember in the game was the Schaub interception. The safeties didn't bite on that one (and we had been running the ball decently even before that) and were in position to get the INT. So in the second half, we just run the ball straight up the gut almost every play. And it was like the Colts were still just waiting on that one play action so they could force another turnover, and it never happened. Weird.
What's cool is that is how you are suppose to game-plan. Now what?Everyone in the world is asking "who is Arian", they can't believe a guy out of nowhere does this, and now if he has an impression against Washington, every team will know Arian as part of the usual gameplan consideration. . . "Arian who?" will no longer be asked, but the question now becomes who will stop him. How does an opponent now game plan its defense against Houston's pass and (now very efficient) run attacks? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-more-arian-foster-leads-charge-against-colts
Kinda hoping the Redskins win this game vs the Cowboys. That way, they feel good about themselves for their match up with the Texans.
I understand but I hate the cowboys so if they started there season off 1-1 or 0-2 I would love to add to there misery.
Is there a team that is repeatedly overhyped, year after year? People talk about the Cowboys like they are in the category of the Saints, Colts, Texans, etc... In reality, they are a good team with no shot at a ring.
Hahah nice!! They have alot of talent on both sides of the ball, perhaps the most talented team in the NFL except for one key area and that's their O-line. As Texans fans, we know the kind of pains a bad offensive line can bring, here's to hoping Colombo doesn't come back for our game
They really don't though. They have a good tight end and one pretty good receiver. They don't have a lot of depth at either position. They have a group of average at best running backs and a shotty offensive line. Their defense also is not that great. The have some good linebackers, but have a fairly mediocre secondary.
Is anyone else watching the ESPN postgame? I swear Wade Phillips is Jack Pardee's son and not Bum's. Dude just comes across as absolutely clueless. Never seen a more dumbfounded look consistently on a coach's face.
Ha, the way he looks on the sidelines definitely reminds me of Pardee. Truth is, Jerry Jones wants a lackey at head coach. Cowboys suck.
I know we won and all but I want Kyle to be back as offensive coordinator. The one we have to replace him seems to have no creativity what so ever. If this continues one of my fantasy league teams will go down the drain since I have both Andre and Matt on a team.
