Super game! Both lines were great! Leach could make a hole that even I could walk through! I like the Foster is Aussie for.... quotes! Lets keep our heads on straight for next week.
I think the vultures will begin circling around Caldwell after this ass kicking. He got out coached in the Super Bowl and his team has been consistently out-played since preseason. Bill Polian has done a crappy job finding them offensive linemen and today the Texans capitalized on this weakness. And they have never addressed their lack of a return game. It's about time the Colts eat some of the same crow they've been feeding us for years. I agree with your observation about their defense. I believe the ship has sailed on Dungy's defensive concept of a small fast defensive team. The key to beating the Colts was always running the ball, eating up the clock and keeping Peyton on the bench. It's just that Kubiak had the notion that it didn't matter who was running the ball and that having Schaub throw 40+ passes a game was the formula for success. I hope folks take notice of what happened today particularly the lack of wear and tear on Schaub. THAT'S the real advantage of having a serious rushing attack.
Hopefully the O-line can keep continuing to play like that same with Leach and Foster cuz theres nothing lke running the ball down the throat ofa team when they're down  I think Leach played a really good game and i think it showed on Foster's last TD how good Leach was playing becuase the corner of the Colts didnt even bother to try to engage with Leach who was running at him lol
Remember how bad our run D sucked in the first half last year and then turned around. Indy always has Peyton, if they can adjust half-assed to the run they will be fine. But if we sweep two of the other teams in the division this could be huge in a tie-breaker. I know they didn't totally discount the run this week but I'm sure the original game plan was for a lot more Schaub and Feeny. Vonta should take Monday and Tuesday off. Quiet time and lots of ibuprofen. Foster was a high school all-american and had a good junior year. He's just one of those between the cracks guys. And he had a full year of NFL training, meetings, weights and nutrition. HIGH SCHOOL - San Diego Union- Tribune's All-San Diego Western League Player of the Year ... Named All-West Region by PrepStar ... Also earned All-California Interscholastic Federation honors ... Led county with 2,500 all-purpose yards, racking up 2,093 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns while adding six scores on kickoff returns as senior in 2003 ... Had 321-yard game against Claremont in 2003 ... Part of same high school graduating class as Matt Bush, who was first overall selection in 2004 MLB amateur draft by San Diego Padres ... Also part of track and field and basketball squads.
I think the best chance for a sweep is the Jags..... The t***, the Colts and the Texans will be battling for the division I think. DD
Undrafted because bad senior season in Phil Fulmer's last year. Junior year was very good and he had like a 2nd round or 3rd round grade if he would have came out. I think he is going to be like Ryan Grant. Very solid but not in the level of Chris Johnson or Adrian Peterson.
He was phenomenal today, but a lot of things came together for him to trample the Ponies. The O-Line was great opening holes consistently. Best I've seen in a long time. Vonta was fantastic as a lead blocker all day - he was crushing the initial defender. The Colts front 7 looked awful. They were focused on Schaub, they're built to rush not eat space, and they look soft and weak. No one in the secondary was in position to help, and struck me as not especially quick. Foster was great at hitting the hole without hesitation, and his acceleration was top notch. But it really helps when you don't have to absorb hits at the line.
I want to apologize before the season I said Schaub might have a down year numbers wise because Arian is going to get 1400 yards rushing, 15 TD's. . .I almost said it as a joke but with hope, now I realize there is no doubt these numbers might be surpassed!. . .Awesome.
I think I have to take exception to those of you who choose to refer to the Titans as the "t***". As someone who truly despises the organization in Nashville, I just can't get down with naming them after something so beautiful.
What he did at the end of last season combined with how he ran in the preseason then today's unbelievable performance, I think it's safe to say that Foster in this offensive scheme is the real deal. He is the perfect one cut and go type back that this offense has been looking for
@ESPN_FirstTake: Texans RB Arian Foster and Saints QB Drew Brees on the show tomorrow. 10am est, ESPN2
While I loved see Arian shove it down the Colts throats today, I hope for future games the overall attack is much more balanced. I worry more about Leech than I do Foster. I mean, the way Vonte plays, if he was rolling his tank through the line 35-40 times a game for EVERY game then he will be hurting hardcore by haflway through the season. You could tell his bell was ringing a little bit there towards the end. It's not like he's as valuable as guys like Andre Johnson or Schaub, but he is a bigger part of the Texans run game than most casual fans realize, I think.
