I am starting to think Kubiak really has something against playing 3 RBs. Despite having better yards per carry on as many tries as Brown, Moats seems like he is going to get practically bench down the road unless Slaton is completely out. Meanwhile, Brown will continue to get 3 yards per carry if we are lucky and the Colts will have nothing to fear from our running game. If that is the case, pray for a big day for both Schaub and the rest of the receivers.
Dwight Freeney will not play tomorrow. Great news for the Texans. http://twitter.com/espn_afcsouth/status/6153033507
Freeney didnt even did the trip to Houston, so out for the game. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8148d2b6&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true
Freeney is know mainly as a pass rusher . . . . if i am not mistaken. So . . . I think the Texans still need to be even More Pass Happy I thinking 70/30 Ratio of Passes to Runs [Even with a high percentage of Screens/ Short Passes to the backs out of the backfield] Rocket River
Man, we really needed that last game and I thought we would STOMP Bud's boys. That said, it's time for another week of "what's next?". So, call me crazy, but I see us whooping up on the Colts giving them their first loss. The weird thing is I'm not sure this is what I want as Kubiak needs to go.... Yes, we still can make the playoffs and I know the Texans have plenty of talent and heart........but it's in the best interest of the organization to get Kubiak out of here... Hire Bill on the sly and fire "Kubes" at the end of the year. Go Texans!
God help us if we can't do enough on offense to keep Manning off the field today, as Freeney is out. I think a lot of people on this board will be singing a different tune come Monday. We all know the Texans are one "something" away from getting on a roll that can potentially transform the self-esteem, confidence, whatever of the team and propel them to greater heights. IF (capital I, capital F) they can knock off the Colts today, it could be the springboard to a franchise best winning streak. 6-5 doesn't sound all that great (especially when they'll have four to five teams ahead of them in the WC race), but 7-5 (@Jax), 8-5 (SEA), 9-5 (@STL), 10-5 (@MIA) all start sounding better, and is well within reach if they can just start executing better and playing up to their potential. At that point, who know, maybe they'll catch the Pats with nothing to play for and have a chance at 11-5? If that happens, they'll capture the attention of a city that is absolutely starving for something to cheer about when it comes to the Texans. Stranger things have happened; you never know what can trigger a run, sometimes it's lucking into a win when a guy that's absolutely dominated you (Freeney) can't answer the bell. After this afternoon's game, we'll know if the run has begun. Go Texans!
I can give you a better scenario. Texans can win the game with a 35 yard field goal with 3 seconds left in the game.......only it gets blocked and returned for a td. Indy wins. =(
I just realized that Freeney is out. Man I wish we could have split the last 2 cuz it's looking good for today..
Or Kris Brown makes a 50 yard field goal to tie the game, only when a false start on the Texans, and he misses a 55 yarder to lose the game
