unfortunately i have to go back to being a angry pessimistic texans fan because whenever i get optimistic the manage to rip my heart out.
Very pessimistic about this game. I don't (and was saying this for 2 weeks) see it as a "we almost got them in Indy, they're barely squeaking past teams, we'll totally own them at home" game. I see it as a "they're going to kick out the doors and send a message" game. We are what we are. A talented team that's *almost* playoff level that underachieves and has a coach that gets 70% out of his roster. An offense that can only give 2 quarters of play. A defense that does what it can, but is only truly capable at the LB level. 8-8, here we come.
I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that we lose on the last play of the game. I know that sounds crazy...... Indy 27 Hou 24
I really don't know what will happen in this game. It wouldn't shock me if the Texans came out and won the game. On the other hand, it wouldn't shock me either if we lose five games in a row. The optimist in me says the Texans win and keeps our slim playoff hopes alive. Only in week 16 or 17 will our post season thoughts be crushed. Texans 24 Colts 17 Btw, this is the third time Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf have called a Texans game. The first time was in '07 in San Diego a week after the fires there. The second time was last year when the Colts visited Reliant and the infamous Rosencopter game. So far 0-2 with those two calling games. I fully expect a Peyton Manning love fest from Greg and Dan. Next week we get Gus Johnson back in the booth. I can't believe I will say this but it'll be nice to have him calling our games again.
Nope, not really, I've never seen anything out of the organization I could respect. I tried this season, but they are a huge disappointment
So what do you "respect" out of any other NFL organization? What do you "respect" out of the Rockets organization?
The Rockets have proven to be competent. The Texans have a moron for a coach, their front office refuses to bring in FAs, they have been the joke of the league since their inception, etc. 8 years and absolutely nothing to show for it. Why bother with a team that looks like it hardly even tries.
Four of our five losses have been by a touchdown or less and we "hardly even try"? You must not watch much other NFL, because if you did you would understand how hard it is to win in this league. We've had our struggles and consistency problems, but you can't say they don't try. Only 2 teams have been consistently good this decade- New England and Indy. Other than that, nobody has been good every year. Philly and Pittsburgh were close, but even they had their down years. Factor in that we were an expansion team and just got the ship righted in 2006/2007, there really isn't much of a sample size there. We do bring in free agents- see Jacques Reeves, Antonio Smith. Oh, did you want us to go throw a $150 million contract to Albert Haynesworth? I bet you'd be singing a different tune if Brown had made his field goals, or Dunta made that pick. So those few plays, to you I guess, are the difference between a good team and a team that "hardly tries"? You're pathetic.
whatever buddy. The texans are almost a decade old and have yet to even post a winning record. That's pathetic imo. Kubiak is a joke of a coach and the team continues to be disappointing. They never sign free agents of significance like any successful team in the NFL has. Just not worth my time
People actually think this will be a loss?! Have you never watched Houston sports? This is the game that the Texans will dominate and get the fans excited again. We have to get our hopes up so it will hurt that much more when they are smashed again. Duh! Texans 30 Colts 14
Tough loss to swallow, but if they get this win, we're back in the hunt...this would be a huge confidence builder... Texans: 21 colts: 20
