The Texans are complete garbage and an embarrassment to the city. It's readily apparent that Bob McNair has absolutely no idea what goes into a successful football franchise. All he's ever done is throw good money after bad with nothing but failure to show for it. Texans=failure, now and forever.

This is the kind of **** that makes me not want to jump ship. Yes, this is incredibly painful and the suffering is beyond belief. But forever? Give me a ****ing break. McNair isn't the one who fumbled twice and threw a pick all in the final four minutes. McNair isn't the one who couldn't make a stop last week, and McNair isn't the one who called tails on the coin flip. Hell, if it weren't for McNair and Kubiak, one of the lone bright spots (Mario) wouldn't even be here.

If this regime can't be successful, and I'm thinking it looks like they can't, then Kubiak, Smith, Schaub and the staples will all be gone, and they'll be gone in a very quick timeframe and they'll rebuild. They suck now, but the using all these dramatic terms like "forever" is just ridiculous.

I can't vent? Sheesh. Sorry, I'll try to think up some incisive commentary on the football match and get back to you.

We did that just a couple years back when we hire Dan Reeves to be a consultant. I just can't seem to pinpoint one problem anymore...

    1. Kubiak's playcalling has been questionable at best, on top of that, he's also made some really boneheaded calls as well this season.

    2. I really thought Rick Smith would be able to turn things around but his evaluations of players just hasn't been that good. We spent a lot of money and picks on Green, Scaub, and Reeves, and we haven't gotten any type of return from them.

    3. Also I'm really not sure what role McNair has in the decision making anymore but he's been the only constant throughout this whole fiasco of a franchise (him and Pitts).

at least your not the Kansas City Chiefs.

even with one win, the Chiefs are far worse than the Texans.

I hate the Cowboys, everything about them but if you think Jerry Jones would let his team look this bad for this long, you've got another thing coming. That is what frustrates me the most, crack some heads in the organization, wake some people up. Fire a coach out of anger, god knows most of us fans would.

it's not McNair's fault that this team sucks, it's the OUR fault that we keep paying all that money to go to games and be "entertained" by the total embarrassment that this team is .. what McNair is doing is a very normal human reaction: "I'm selling out every week, why would I give a **** if we win or not?"..

sometimes, jumping off of the bandwagon is actually a beneficial thing for a team.. it gives its douche of an owner a wake up call and makes him want to look for ways to stop this team from sucking..

    Sage is a freaking joke,
    special teams, collectively, freaking joke,
the defense, though it surprised me today, is a freaking joke,

I wanted to promise myself that I won't watch the Texans again until they make a move, but I'm almost certain that I'll have my alarm set at noon next Sunday and I'll be glued to the couch cheering my head off..

    I'm mad..

I hate the Cowboys too, but the worst stetch they had was 3 straigh 5 win seasons followed by a 10 win season. They had one more bad seasons before slowly evolving to the team they are today. There are always changes in the postive directions. The Texans keep taking 2 steps back for every step forward.

He did by firing Casserly and Capers, giving up on Carr, and bringing in Smith, Kubiak and an entirely new staff. In response, the Texans improved from 2-14 to 8-8 by Kubiak's second season. What more could/should he have done? Things really seemed on the right track, until a month ago.

serenity now! I've had 4 hours to calm down, and well, it still hurts. the only way this will be forgotten is if they're able to win 5 in a row.

Can't forget the Lions. They are really pitiful.

Trash Bowl a.k.a 1st Pick in 2009 Draft will be the sight of Reliant Stadium when the crappy Lions take on the choking Texans.

Can't wait. Have your popcorn ready! :D :(

and sadly, i thought they'd be back on track with a convincing win today.

3 straight winnable games coming up (though I don't think that's possible now) at home. Coming off a win against a good team. And the only losses coming to 2 very good teams and a solid Jacksonville team that we nearly pulled out.

And even saying that it was all really close...I'd also like to say that this one loss has totally changed the course of everything, and it's no longer that close.

I don't think Reeves was too much of a consultant. I think he was brought in to help McNair sell his transition plan. I think McNair thought they were close enough that new blood in the front office and coaching could take it to the next level. Unfortunately, that is starting to look wrong.
Maybe what needs(ed) to happen is really start rebuilding with someone like Parcells or another experienced person that will gut the team and mold it new

It's not a question of whether the current regime is adequate, it's a question of whether better alternatives are available.

Tough loss today but I put every single ounce of blame on Kubiak. He all too often goes into prevent offense when the team is ahead and it cost us big time today. The offensive plays that were called after the onside kick were completely ridiculous. Instead of being aggressive, going play action down the field with Indy stacking against the run we had a first down run, second down run, and third down and 8 naked bootleg? WTF was that? Naked bootleg is a 5 yard play not a third and long play against a speed defense. Sage was just playing hard, trying to make a play. I can live with those kinds of mistakes.

Also, Richard Smith is doing a terrible job and should be fired immediately. Last week he would not put a spy on Garrard and his constant scrambling cost us the game. This week, the rush kept allowing Peyton to step up in the pocket and we didn't make the adjustment to send pressure up the middle. I'm sick of this inability to make in game adjustments to what's happening on the field.
