If Sage wants to keep the starting job, he needs to avoid playing like a desperate backup at times. You have to be smart. That could have been a horrendous turnover.
Well he's sick, it's the home opener he's been looking forward to, and he's forced to stand on the sidelines and watch while his team romps to victory over the Colts. I'd find it hard to smile if I were him too. You know he's dying to be out there.
Huh? I said a QB controversy is a GOOD thing. Everybody else is trying to insinuate that Kubiak is going to lose sleep over who the starting QB should be.
Still, you'd like to see him clapping and cheering for his teammates.. even if he feels like poo... at least crack a smile
I dont get what the point of this is...are you saying Marvin Harrison hasnt been an elite WR? Harrison has never averaged 15 yards per catch...even though he has always been a deep threat. The difference is that Moss is mostly effective going deep, whereas a player like Harrison (and AJ) can go deep as well as be an effective possession receiver. Not only has AJ not had the same QB's that Marvin and Randy have been fortunate enough to have...but he also hasnt had an offensive line that can block long enough to allow for a deep ball. Plus, the Texans have always had a speedster that can go deep, thereby not putting the sole responsibility on AJ for the bombs.
Slaton is averaging over 5 yds per carry. I know that average will come down but he's already a better NFL rusher than Reggie Bush as far as I can see.
I know man, didn't mean it as an insult. Was implying that you've been the voice of reason in this thread. When we're all this hungry for a win reason is thrown out the door.
me too, sounds like maybe they are trying to do some weird dual channel crap. i always know when progressive commercials are on, even without looking at the TV.
I understand being hungry for a win. I guess I can't help but realize that this is a home game against a questionable defense, and I somewhat "expected" the Texans to look pretty good (especially after how they looked last week). The defense has been the big star today, likely getting a HUGE boost of adrenaline by playing at home (also, Manning hasn't taken advantage of some opportunities that he normally converts). Also, had the last two games been home games... we likely win them both. Hell, we win at least one of them if our coach doesn't lose his mind for breif stints. All of that helps me be level-headed when evaluating why this team is where it is (but winning this game will certainly help do a whole lot of good for everybody's psyche here... including mine).
I also have to say... Reliant Stadium looks pretty good in HD when the roof is open. Can't say the same for how the fans must feel sitting in the sun... i'm sure the scoreboard is helping with that.
