They've been decent, but I really don't think the OL is the biggest difference in the lack of pressure -- it's having a QB that moves the pocket and makes quicker decisions.
that 3rd down play was a pivotal play. we were given a free 1st down and then a 1st and 5, which got to a 3rd and 6. Had we not converted, it would have been a huge momentum shift. good job andre. if only it could have ended the drive in a TD, but I guess 3 pts is better than no points.
Whoever is running the offense best and whoever has the ability to execute the game plan the team works on all week in practice. One game against a pourous defense at home vs. 3 road games against quality defenses (one being a stellar start) likely won't be able to tell the whole story... but in either case, Kubiak should have little fear of turing to his backup QB if the starter is ineffective.
If you expand your frame of reference to last season as well, does that tell more of a story? I agree about turning to the backup.
Real tough. Got to admire it. However, each hard/tough catch over the middle makes it more and more likely that he eventually gets knocked out or seriously hurt. I wish he could get some easier big gains.... like TO, Moss, and even Harrison/Wayne get routinely each week.
