haha, excellent. We get to beat the colts. mission accomplished.

I wonder if Dayne is just a fluke right now or if we will seriously consider him part of our plans from here on out.

So. because the offense did exactly what it was supposed to do for once, Carr gets none of the credit? To me it looked like Carr was able to run an efficient offense BECAUSE he had no pressure. Definite cause and effect.

He doesn't get too much credit. I imagine most NFL QB's can run an efficient offense when the team runs for 200 yards. We need a QB that can make plays, not just one that can manage a game on the odd chance that Ron Dayne will run for 150 yards.

I think that QB's in general, with a few exceptions, get too much credit for "running" an offense. Was he calling the plays? Did he even audible today? He DID make a heads up play by calling that TO with 12 men in the huddle to save us a penalty and he did make a key throw to Andre on the last drive. But should he get credit for handing the ball off 42 times? How is running the plays Kubiak called anything special? This is not just Carr, this is most QB's in the league.

And yet when the Texans lose the fingers almost without fail point directly at Carr.

Carr played a good game, played within himself, and directed two scoring drives with the clock winding down to end both halves. He made a clutch throw to AJ to set up Kris' kick. He looked comfortable, which is what happens when you're not spending a lot of the game looking at the ceiling or running for your life.

BTW, why shouldn't Carr get credit even though he only threw what, 23 or 24 times? The number of times the QB throws the ball doesn't tell the whole story. Eli Manning threw the ball only 25 times and yet he was a major reason the Giants looked like crap today. On the other hand, VY only threw the ball 20 times and yet I've seen people who still act like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I've never given full blame or credit to any one player. Over the course of this season Carr has played well in wins AND losses and has played poorly in wins AND losses. And it's obvious that alot of his struggles have come as a direct result of poor pass protection.

Eli may have thrown 25 times but his team only ran the ball 18 times. He played a much bigger role in the Giant offence than Carr did for the Texans.

Look, Carr played decent solid game. He made good throws, he wasn't sacked and he didn't turn the ball over. Dayne was a workhorse today and is THE reason (with help from the run blocking) we one today. Carr shouldn't get added credit because he was able to make a hand off. If it was the other way around and he was picking the D apart with his passing then by all means give him all the credit in the world but that's not what happened.

He gets credit for a fine game but not for being some catalyst. He played well but he's not the reason we scored 27 or won today.

By the way, I am delighted to eat crow on the results of this bottom line, but you have to admit it, I had the diagram sans blitzing Peyton which I was surprised they did not do that much of.

Solid win, great win for the franchise. Great Dayne was truly living large today. :D

Congrats to the Texans, for a change they showed moxie and fought instead of rolling over and made the city proud for one sunday this season in whereas has been largely a season of missed opportunities and lowered expectations.

Take your champagne shower, Swoly. LOL. All Texans fans deserve to savor this one. Bravo!!!

Nice weekend for Kris Brown. 24 hours after his old high school (Southlake Carroll) wins it's 4th state title in 5 years, he kicks the game winning FG to beat the Colts for the first time in......well, EVER.
