Great win for this franchise, after going 2-14 last season, the possibility of going 6-10 is big for us. As for Carr, the coaching staff is going to evaluate everything. 1 win isn't going to change everything, period. IF Kubiak doesn't think he can win with Carr, he'll let McNair know...Kubiak already has the job, I don't think he has to say what McNair wants to hear anymore.
david carr and the texans cant win with you guys.... when they win, ya say that they should of lost....but if they lost, ya would want their heads and call everyone in the organization morons... c'mon give me a break....root for your team
Yep. Peyton Manning might go down as the greatest player of all time to never reach a superbowl game. He's not getting any younger and it seems like the defense gets worst every season.
What I find amusing is that we drafted Mario because "in order to beat the Colts you need to get pressure on Peyton" like San Diego did last year. As it turns out, all you need is a running game.
Texans lose: "David Carr sucks! He's the reason we lost!" Texans win: "This sucks! It's not because David Carr made no mistakes and ran the offense well! Now we're stuck with him!" Carr could cr@p gold bars and p!ss beer and it wouldn't make some of you happy.
As a guy who really isn't a Texans fan I think this win was good for the team. It must feel great for the team to finally beat Indy in what was considered a very important game for them. Did you see how excited the players were afterwards? The team has won at least 3 more games and finally knocked off the big dog in the division, so no one can say there isn't growth going on here. A higher draft pick would have been nice, but didn't last year teach us that the team will piss us off with how they use the pick anyway. Besides, how far did we fall anyway? I have us going from the 5th pick to the 6th one. Possibly 7th if we tie with Miami.
Maybe a lower draft pick will help us to avoid the folly of drafting a QB in the first and using it where we really need help (OL). Last year I really wanted D'Brickashaw Ferguson but there was no way they were going to take him #1 and they seemed unwilling to trade down to 3 or 4 where he went to the Jets. I don't know if there's an OLineman like that in the draft that is a high first rounder. I heard about a guy from Wisconsin but I know nothing about him.
They're beating SF 17-3 right now. If they win we'd have the same record. What's the tie-breaker for draft position. It wouldn't matter I guess if we beat the Browns next week though 'cause they play San Diego.
AWESOME!! I know some of you find it very hard to believe, but I was loving watching Carr play well today. Honestly, at this point, I feel sorry for the guy. Only would have been better had he thrown the game-winning TD.
What's great is the Texans have pretty much killed the Jaguars playoff chances and put a damper on Indy's superbowl hopes. The Texans might not be very good but I'm pretty sure they're atleast hated today.
If we win next week, we'll end up 6-10. That is what I predicted at the beginning of the season. Hard to believe, because it sure doesn't feel like we're 1 win away from tripling our win total from last year. But if we win, we will have.
Hey I'm thrilled they won. I hate Manning and all his damn commercials. Watching him walk off that field shaking his head in disbelief was my SuperBowl. That made my season...right there. Beathing your divison rivals foes is important and we sent a message to the Colts this week, the Jags all season. The Titans...well..that's another story we will have to deal with for years to come.
I'd rather we lose next week so we don't get too bad of a draft pick but I'm very happy we stuck it to Indy today. How you play against your division rivals is always important, no matter if it's a lost season or not. Anyone who thinks this win means something about Carr though is nuts. The reason we won today is because the Colts could not stop us from running the ball. Running the ball that well pretty much negates Freeney on the rush so Carr had all day to throw and the Colts offense couldn't get on the field enough. If you notice a lot of David's throws were quick and on the first route he looked at. It's like Kubiak told him to throw to the first read no matter what.
You'll notice that most of the people who are groaning about the win boosting Carr's staying power are the same people who always equate a win or loss being the direct cause of a QB. every. single. time.
