I'm surprised. After last years "Bush Bowl" I fully expected to come here to find more people b****ing about beating the Colts. Seems like we only have the lone douche thus far.

People its not about draft position, its about how the coaching staff and ownership will view the team and in particular David Carr. He is a terrible QB and has no business taking another snap for this franchise after next week, but after today, moron McNair will think he's John f'n Elway and want to keep his sorry ass here for another 5 yrs.

I'm happy we won. So we want to lose like a pathetic team all the time to just get draft position in a draft that is pretty weak to begin with. Give me a break. Be a true fan and support the team and the fact that we finally beat the Colts at home.

    Give me a damn break...

I highly doubt that. They will most likely bring in a vetran QB that will fight for the starting job. The job will no longer be handed to Carr like in years past. If he is still with the texans he will be fighting for a starting spot on the roster with a vetran QB. That's the difference.

screw our draft position, we will end up drafting another Mario anyways:D

we just beat the freakin Colts, I cant believe it.

this really makes me feel better after what happened to our Rockets yesterday.

believe it Texans fan, we can go on a super-winning-streak the rest of the season and make the playoffs!! (wait, would it be enough?) :D

    Exactly.

I understand about wanting to "win every game" no matter what. But the sad reality is that, in football, teams are built through the draft. And it's usually better for rebuilding purposes to be REALLY bad rather than be fair-to-middling.

I'm sorry, but if you tell me we aren't making the playoffs then I'd much rather have the 5th pick (with which to use or parlay into something more) than the 10th pick. Short-term/long-term.

Give me the prospect of being able to draft the pieces we need (and even though we seem to screw up draft choices no matter WHERE we're slotted I'd still much rather have a higher one than a lower one) which will make us good down the road rather than me getting all touchy/feely and "feeling good" on a garden-variety Sunday in December.

It's funny. Before the season, most people were predicting 5-6 wins. Some people thought as many as 8-9. Nobody expected us to make the playoffs but nobody was b****ing about how it's harm us in terms of draft postition. Now that the predictions are becoming reality, people are suddenly upset.

In a draft that has a lot of great players fine worry about draft position and who is out there. They are comparing this draft class to the year Keshawn Johnson went number 1. They are saying it is one of the weakest there is. So get off of the nuts of the draft position. We can still find some help in the draft but nobody that is going to change this franchise in their rookie year.

We need to worry about bringing some damn vetran players that can win and show the young guys we got in this draft and subsequent drafts the ins and outs of the league and how to become a winner.

We get all these rookies but who the hell do they have to learn from? Honestly look at our team and see who they need to learn from to become great vetrans. We can draft a bunch of raw young talent in a draft but they aren't going to get any better if we don't have a better vetran core that will show them the way.

Lets focus more on some damn free agents and worry about the draft when it gets here..even though it's still a weak ass draft class.

the texans just basically broadcasted to the world today that the colts are no where near a superbowl team.

i'd like to say this is a good win, but the colts are floundering and most of the texans players were playing for their jobs today.

our secondary needs some help still.. carr is still done.. and our D and O lines are going to be the most improved in the entire league next year..

Boy the Colts defense is terrible. I take that back about them being a superbowl contender. If u let a 300 pound runningback get 150yds on you then you have some serious issues.

The commentators said it best. The team that will make it to the superbowl is the team with the quarterback that has the best defense.

I'm pretty excited that they won.

Indy had to alot to play for and the Texans still came out on top that has to mean something.

    Ryans is a complete stud.

I was rooting against the Texans last year against San Fran. But I'm sick of seeing the Texans lose I'm glad they beat INdy and I hope they Kill cleveland.

Cleveland started this whole mess 2 years ago since than its been down hill.

I hope we win by 50.

    Go texans
