I go as far as saying it was never the playcalling that was an issue, it was the QB who couldn't execute. But I can't be that biased against Matt Schaub who I still believe will go to a different team and put up decent numbers.

It's just that he isn't the right QB for the system, he was until teams knew he can't run.

According to ESPN's QBR, Case (96.6 QBR) had the 9th best game of the season for a QB last night.

The Texans biggest hole on defense is nose tackle/slot coverage.

I don't want to overreact to 2 games and say he can be a franchise QB, so for me I still don't know long term if he's the guy. If he doesn't turn out to be, I would hate to go through another wasted season. I get your health concerns too.

Why do people have a hard time believing Keenum is the guy?

    Undrafted,perceived lack of arm strength(isnt the case,height?

He seems to have all the intangibles you want in a qb with good mobility and a good arm. I think he is here to stay. He is already breaking records.

Because I've seen guys have short term success and not be the answer for the longterm. It's really about the future, I need to see more than 2 games of this before I can label him a franchise starting QB.

He's smart. I think this is the play you can get used too. Something that stuck out to me was the run right before half where he saw 2 deep safety coverage/man. He knew what he was doing before the play started.

Keenum had massive improvement on blitzes. Was impressed.

Wade Phillips should not be the next best option for head coach on any staff in this day/age.

I bet McNair let's him interview for the job, out of respect, but I think it's time for a house cleaning. Fewer lifers and retreads and more fresh blood, young wiz kids for the front office, Morey types, and a hot shot coordinator from the pros or a rising star from college. Smart, young, and analytical.

while i want to clean house, i'm not sure it's smart to bring in a different offensive system with keenum doing so well. we've seen what changing systems does to young qbs.

I don't care how well Keenum plays, Kubiak must be fired. That is the single most important thing that must happen, this offseason, for the Texans to have any legitimate chance of ever reaching the SB.

And Sleepy Head needs to be bold, no more safe comfortable choices.
