That onside must have been practiced at least twice.

Not gonna fault Obrien at all for going with Hoyer to start. We don't know what the coaches know when it comes to these decisions. Maybe Mallett just really didn't show enough during camp and being benched is the motivation he'll need. Easy to say he should have gone with him now.

But regardless at least he didn't stay with Hoyer. I'm pretty sure Kubiak would have, for probably half the season.

I don't think so. Coaches give QBs time to redeem themselves..

Well at least we got the Hoyer BS out of the way, this loss is on BOB 100%, that's not just Kubiak-speak.

Yeah, if the QB has earned that right, but not in this situation - both were about equal - and if a QB is costing your team, you yank him out.

man, those 2 turnovers to touchdowns really killed us.

The only good things to come out of this game is that Watt got his numbers and the Mallet era looks to be starting now.

Look on the bright side fellas: It only took one game to realize Hoyer isn't it. Colts lost. Jags lost. Texans haven't lost any ground.

The one person that needs to go is bullock. Misses easy FG. Misses on extra one point. And off side kick is probably one of the worst I've seen. They need to rid him from this team.

Would it shock anyone if Hoyer starts next game?

To lose by 7 after blown PI calls that could of lead to at least 6 points, Fat Randy missing an extra point, and Hoyer bumming it up with 2 turnovers that lead to 14 points for the Chiefs is frustrating.

Mallet better be starting next weeks game

This loss is on the coach. His arrogance and insistence in starting the "safe" Hoyer cost them a game. Glad to see the coach humble himself and FINALLY bring in Mallet.

If this was Kubiak instead of O'Brien, Hoyer would have started 8 more games before he even considered pulling him.

Mallet didn't look good at all during pre-season/TC obviously. He lacked maturity. Maybe OB needed to give him a wake up call.

This loss is partly on OB, partly on Hoyer, partly on the awful special teams, and partly on the awful D. Plenty of blame to go around.

Really? You're not gonna fault the coach? He's the ONLY one to fault for making the wrong decision.

This loss is on HIS decision. This is the NFL. Every game is critical and he just blew the home opener.
