That's the formula for every team to achieve glorious victory. Indy was just one week removed from allowing the jaguars to do anything they wanted, now everyone considers Indy to be great again. The Texans victory over the Raiders didn't mean anything because they're the Raiders; yet the Raiders found a way to beat the Chargers.
I find it difficult to predict any game in the NFL anymore. The parity is out of control, but it gives a lot to talk about. With the exception of the steelers, ravens and Jets fans, we're all in panic mode.

All I get from this is that we have zoolander and hansel playing in the defensive backfield. How do you not learn assignments? They should be able to recite their coverage duties in their sleep. =(

all I want is to be the 20th ranked defense.

I'm sure Sage did give them some tips, but the fact is our offense is extremely predictable right now. Watching the Oakland game on TV, there were many plays that I looked at our formation and new whether we were running or passing...I didn't do it the whole game, but of the plays I consciously thought about I'd say I was right 4 out of 5 times. I'm going to try to do it more Sunday. The point it, if I can predict run vs pass this successfully on TV, the other team is going to be even better than I am since they have reviewed all of the game tape extensively.

Half of the battle on defense is figuring out run vs pass on downs that it isn't obvious (1st and 10, 2nd and 5, 3rd and 3 situations, etc). I have a feeling Sage knew from watching the tape what our new wrinkles were, and also spotted little things that gave plays away (like spotting play-action formations).

I'm posting this, believing that the Texans will win. I just can't keep expecting this team to win until they start playing like they did the first two weeks. If something doesn't change, I have a bad feeling this will be another non-playoff year.

I've been doing the same things. Our team is VERY predictable. I can only imagine what a defense that has spent hours in the film room sees. I've gotten so confident, when they were run plays, I started guessing which side they would run to. Too predictable Kubes.

We might be predictable, although I disagree, but we are still fine as an offense. The two defenses that got us, game planned very well and schemed us perfectly. I blame Kubes for not adjusting the offense on the fly but offense is the least of our issues...

    #6 Total offense
    #5 Rushing (With the leagues leading rusher}
    #2 YPC
    #9 Scoring

I can live with those numbers anyday.

We certainly have enough talent to overcome some predictability against average to poor defenses, but that isn't going to cut it against the elite defenses (NYG and Dallas are ranked 1 and 2 in total yards allowed). Our three wins have come against average at best defenses that couldn't contain our playmakers.

Against the good defenses, the predictability leads to more three and outs, which puts our defense on the field more ... and with our secondary and pass rush problems, we stand no chance in any game that our defense is on the field 40 mins of the game.

Yea, I guess I'd have to agree, I was trying to remember back to these games and your right it was pretty much a given when a pass was coming or a rush. Easier to scheme against and without Andre/JJ healthy also easier to defend.

2 Games out of 5 were the offense as a whole got completely shut down. That's not okay.

Last year, our offense refused to play more than 1 half a game, and we paid the price, squandering a playoff berth.

The defense is awful and going to give up 24 points a game. No easy solution that I see.

Schaub can't take a dump on the field every other game, which is what he's done.

When the offense doesn't show up, we lose. It's that simple. 13 points isn't going to take us anywhere, any week of the season.

What are the THINGS YOU WANT TO SEE THIS WEEK?

    1. Blitz more.
    2. Give the run a chance
    3. D-Line Stunt more [Do they ever stunt? I haven't paid attention]
    4. Be physical and mean. More sense of urgency
    5. Inventive play calling

I'd be happy with a win and no injuries.

The Chiefs are going to win. This is not even a jinx prediction. Their defense has looked stout and McCluster is just the kind of hybrid WR/RB that will give the Texans fits. I hope I am wrong, but the Texans seem to be regressing.

huge game against a beatable team. 4-2 will be so much better than 3-3. we win, our season is still alive, lose and we are toast.

No doubt. Winning is the ONLY thing that matters. If we win, we're 4-2, 3-0 in the conference, still in first in the division, and going into a MUCH needed bye week for both the players AND the coaches.

However, if we lose, may God have mercy on us all.

"Coach put in the Game"!!!! Any game Gus calls is a dvr must.

    Texan 35
    Chiefs 17

Arian runs 18 times for 125 yds and 2td
    AJ80 has a 100+ receiving game
Schaub will keep the streak of throwing a bone head pick that leaves you yelling at the tv, well, at least that's what I do! :p

You summed it all up: it is onward and upward or mediocrity returns. They lose another home game and they just stink. Remember the Cowboys beat us and they already stink.

I have a feeling we are not who we thought we were...our defense is HORRIBLE!
WE ARE DEAD LAST!! You can't win like that.

Someone needs to be fired or traded! If our coaching staff is gonna stay pat with the players they have then one of them needs to go....If you watch before the snap the players have no idea where they should be.

We as fans need to put pressure on the team to fire someone!
